Anggun Cipta Sasmi—the diva behind “Snow on the Sahara” and that irrisitible perfume “Grace”—took to the French airwaves yesterday as a guest on France 3’s popular show Du côté de chez DaveOnce again she proved why she’s the world’s best-selling Francophone artist, this time by singing a cover of Hervé Cristiani’s 1981 song “Il est libre Max” (It’s free Max). The title character Max was Hervi’s imaginary protagonist who embodied all the qualities he admired in people. We’re pretty sure Anggun carries a few of them: beauty, elegance, grace and plenty of FIERCE. You can check out Anggun’s acoustic cover—performed on a couch—below.
