Lisa Angell – France’s contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 – has just released her video for ‘N’Oubliez Pas‘.
The beautiful chanson, which sends a devastating message of remembrance, is accompanied by a minimalist video which allows the classiness of the song to speak for itself.
Lisa Angell won’t rely on gimmicks y’all: something that was clear after her first mesmerising performance of the song live at Le Grand Show 2015.
In the clip Lisa lights a lantern and stalks the haunting coast, a lone survivor to remember those lost. It’s an emotional sucker punch that hits us hard y’all.
Amandine Bourgeois’s chanson may have suffered from anger but the pain put across by Lisa’s voice, song and video means ‘N’Oubliez Pas’ has huge potential on stage in Vienna.
What do y’all think? Can Lisa Angell turn around France’s poor results since 2009 with ‘N’Oubliez Pas?’ Comment below!
She should sing it exactly how she did in the debut live performance. The notes chosen there are a much more moving melody! That being said, the song is still really moving and wonderfully written and I hope France finishes in the top half this year.
Deep and meaningful song with a great video that fits the occasion! Bravo, France! 🙂
I feel like France giving us resiliently its dose of medicine (or typical French songs) and most of Europe refusing to swallow it…I loved Amandine. She had something extra…This year’s song is just typical French song…Ok…I can listen to it repeatedly, but not in my top 10…
Along with Latvia, almost the only songs that gave me chills this year. At this moment, it is my 1st place, and it ain’t moving from there. She is fantastic, and the song is perfect. Time for France to be again 1st in my top after 2013. Their 2014 was a disastrous break I can say. Douze pointe pour la France!
I can’t wait to see her belt it out in the finals 🙂
I still just love this song! It is so classy! As for the videoclip, I’m having mixed feelings – the first part is rather kitsch, the second one is great and moving. For the first time I have had (is it the correct tense?) such a huge problem with indicating my winning song. There are so many this year! France, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Estonia, Italy, even partly Australia and Spain. Ehh, it will be hard 🙂
i like it!good luck from Romania
Juries will like this, as always with France. Televoters will sadly give it an Amandine result, probably not last. I hope she does well.
This song literally gives me chills
I love this song, hopefully she’ll be able to avenge Twin Twin, Amandine, and the whole of France.
I really wish she’ll make the top 15.
Twin Twin were bad, but at least they were enjoyably bad. This is just awful.
The song is absolutely beautiful and she’s a phenomenal singer. It might get lost in a sea of ballads, but with a good running order, she could be an outside Top 10 chance tbh.
I absolutely love this song, and I hope it does well. It should do better than last time anyway. Unfortunately, I have a feeling it may get lost within the other ballads.
Probably the best ballad this year and she is such an amazing singer. However with a lot of countries sending ballads and almost every country investing in super-competent vocal powerhouses instead of stand-out songs, I don’t know how it will do.
I hope the song gets at least 13th place or higher.
Y’all’s friends over at ESC Insight have a term called a Sašenko, named after Lithuania’s 2011 entrant, and define it as: “a song, usually a ballad, that was completely ignored, if not panned, in the run-up to the competition, only for fans to realize later that it was actually pretty damn good. Often accompanies unexpected chills and goosebumps in the fan press that nobody likes to admit to in public.” This seems like a textbook Sašenko.
Generally internal selection for Eurovision is much better than national qualifications, but not in France.
This will TOTALLY get lost on the big night.
If they don’t get bottom 3, it’s already a good score for France considering their recent scores.

This incredible son is so underrated… 🙁
Last place again.
Stunning voice.
My predicition for France from 23 to 27 in final.
