Shortly before the grand final, wiwiblogger Deban Aderemi caught up with Iceland’s Pollapönk. The four bearded men took the term “cool and casual” to another level and interviewed in their colorful bathrobes. Haraldur and Arnar explained that Eurovision is a great platform to promote their message of equality and doing away with prejudice, since millions of people watch it every year. “We are a majority group, so it is very important people hear it from us, and not just from those being bullied,” Haraldur states. Gudni, in hopes of gaining the title of Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model, showed off some moves and poses for Team Wiwi (he was apparently unaware of his elimination).

Pollapönk, who finished fifteenth in the Grand Final and (undeservedly) thirty-sixth in the Wiwi Jury, will continue making music and spreading their motto to children all over Europe, possibly with Purple Polli Deban in tow.
