Sunstroke Project, the trio that represented Moldova together with Olia Tira with the song “Run Away” at Eurovision in 2010, is back. This time the band that became globally famous for Epic Sax Guy‘s amazing solo and thrusting has paired with popular Eurodance duo Deepcentral from Romania for a bit of “Sunshine”.

The track is fresh and instantly catchy. “Sunshine” combines the best of Sunstroke Project (formed by violonist Anton Ragoza, saxophonist Sergey Stepanov and vocalist Sergei Yalovitskiy) and Deepcentral (DJ George Calin and vocalist Doru Todorut), delivering infectious beats punctuated by violin and sax solos. It gives the song a lot of salt and pepper, y’all. Too bad it wasn’t released three months ago, because it would have been a perfect summer anthem. But we’ll take it!

Score: 4.5/5

PS: Eurodance duo Deepcentral have also collaborated with Eleftheria Eleftheriou (Greece 2012) on “Raindrops” and they are one of Romanian fans’ top picks for Eurovision, so perhaps with all these connections they might give it a chance in the future? We can only hope!

@Ana: “Sunstroke Project, the trio that represented Moldova… has paired with popular Eurodance duo Deepcentral from Romania for a bit of “Sunshine”. In what part of the news do you find Bogdan to say the guys are Romanian? If you read it a bit more carefully you’ll see the combo consists of 3 Moldovan and 2 Romanian musicians.
