Josephine Ida Zec is only 14 years old, but she’s already launched her own video blogging channel on Youtube, published her own children’s book, performed at the Croatian National Theatre and sung alongside renowned opera singer Ivana Bolkovac. Now Little Miss Josephine will add another big achievement to her growing CV: She’ll soon sing for Croatia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014!

Call me Josie

Josephine will sing “Game Over”, the lyrics of which are 25% in English and 75% in Croatian. She’ll perform under the name Josie, which is very stage- and kid-friendly.

Josie is already known as a bit of a wunderkind in Croatia. In 2013 Denevnik.hr described her as “a role model for us all” after she published her children’s book with other children in mind. Every time someone buys one of her books, another book is given to a child in a hospital or children’s home.

When she isn’t writing stories, Josie likes to film videos for her YouTube channel. Here she is explaining what she does:

Oh, and naturally she sings.

What do you think? Has Croatia made a good choice?

From the song title, I know that “Game over” will be a song about the end of a relationship. Our love to the opposing sex will sometimes be a game over. But I’m so glad that Vincenzo is not the only male performer on this year’s JESC; Hasan and Ibrahim who accompanied Chrisia from Bulgaria are also boys.

Good choice Croatia! But I was hoping for more guys as this year, like others have said, has many girls. But the song quality this year is fantastic!

As someone said, only female singers. What’s wrong with guys, Europe? 😀
By the way, song is not that bad.

“Game over” remindes me Alexa Vega’s song. I hope Croatia will give us very good song.
