Latvia’s Aminata has been blazing the campaign trail this year. After a landslide victory in Supernova and a great live performance in Riga this past weekend, we are looking forward to seeing her in London and Amsterdam as well before the big trip to Vienna. To create even more publicity for her Eurovision 2015 song, “Love Injected“, she commissioned a remix of the song with DJs Tommy U and Tob Luii.
The producer duo stated,
We see a great potential for Aminata because of her unique voice and lack of accent that allows her to express herself in English in excellent quality. We believe that she is one of the most promising upcoming stars in Latvian pop scene.
The remix takes the minimalist arrangement of the original and fills it up with big club sounds. The remix comes with a snazzy lyric video, featuring psychedelic backgrounds and two silhouette dancers. Although we had some trouble interpreting some of the lyrics when we first heard it, thankfully we can now all sing along with Aminata at the Euroclub.

@Alex. My commentary, as usual, was pure sarcasm as I am aware of this whole remix procedure after all I grew up as a teen with the early dance pop tunes of the 90s and all of the Ace Of Base remixes. I just find astonishing year after year how passionate and somehow addicted Eurofans can be about uptempo music. It almost feels likes desperation of sorts. And 2015 is becoming traumatic for many of them with only Serbia and Israel giving the usual gay-oriented uptempo music they so much crave. If only the uptempo numbers at Eurovision could at… Read more »
Charles, remixes have been standard procedure for pop songs for at least two decades… there’s absolutely nothing special to Eurovision fans here. I don’t personally care for this one, but it shouldn’t really be a surprise that someone makes a remix to a song in 2015. At least it’s a song with electronic influences and not a case where it’s horribly inappropriate like “Take Me To Church” (yes, there are radio stations that insist on only playing a version of that song with a generic uptempo backing track).
Latvia is killing it this year. Both versions are amazing. Best remix so far by far!
Eurovision fans and their profound need to have remixes and any kind of uptempo version to every song deserved a serious Phd study of sorts …
Today, I found her semifinal performance from Supernova and played the last “Yo-our LOOOOOOOOOOVE” 50 times (literally!). She’s so amazing, and I hope she does well.
I’d like the song (talking about both versions) if it was without the screaming.
O sorrry i tought that “nice” wasn’t posted
Nice! I think this will do better than people expect
Nice!
Best eurovision remix so far
Latvia is my favourite this year. I prefer the actual song but I do like this remix.
I like it now more with the cool remix.. It is not bad at all song but unfortunately the level & competition in the 2nd semifinal is really tough…Im not so sure if Latvia can qualify…Many eurofans really like it though so this is positive sign 4 Aminata’s chances.. It hasn’t really grown on me yet and i have it 15th among the 17…Possibly it can go higher on my personal ranking…We will see how it goes…My top40 changes all the time 4 the record.. ————————————————————————————- ~ When LATVIA won in the Vision of 2002 it was actually my 1st… Read more »
