I really hope it is Loredana Berte going to Eurovision. Her Sister Mia Martini performed in Eurovision 1992 in Malmo. Loredana was also married to Bjorn Borg. Loredana for Malmo!

It really looks it’ll be Annalisa vs Angelina Mango for the win.
Geolier can still do it as he will probably win televote but I don’t know with press voting.

My top 10: Annalisa, Mahmood, Mango, Irama, Dargen, The Kolors, Geolier, Rose Villain, Il Volo and Emma. However BigMama, Mr Rain, Clara, Fred and Ghali are all honourable mentions!

Really good year! It’s impossible to pick a bad song. All of these songs would top most of the other National Selections. Very diverse selection too with orchestral, rap, pop, electronic, dance and disco songs thrown in. I believe Italy really has a good chance of winning this year! The newer types of songs should be encouraged for song diversity sake!

I think that Annalisa has the best song but watching the live performances I didn’t really connect with the song and that’s not a good sign. Angelina Mango on the other hand got me hooked and the song is really catchy and memorable, so she would be my choice for now. Many interesting songs though, so it may be a quite open competition this year.

I haven’t listened to half of the songs yet and perhaps will gradually listen to them during the day and during today’s and tomorrow’s shows. From what I’ve listened to, the top 5 is great if it had been in a slightly different order. Also I would have replaced Angelina whose song isn’t really my style with Irama. All in all a great festival, looking forward to the rest of the shows!

Annalisa didn’t actually fully click for me during the live performance but did after I listened to the Studio Cut. Not because she did anything wrong, she was amazing. But something about the Studio Cut really elevates the song for me? This might be one of those songs that actually just sounds nicer without the live orchestra since you get more out of the electronic sounds.

Annalisa to Eurovision for me however based on Studio Cuts and Lives for sure.

I think it was a smart decision – when there is a danger for the discussion to be off topic, insults thrown in any and all directions and trolls making light of the serious topic. The majority of the discussion would be people expresing their stance on wheather Israel should even compete, who did what terrible thing and if it’s more terrible than the thing the other side of the conflict did. Barely anyone would mention the singer chosen to represent the country in the contest and/or what song she might end up singing.

I’d say Italy does exceptionally well at Eurovision. There are a lot of good songs every year and placing in the top 5 or 10 all the time is an amazing achievement.
But even if that weren’t the case, we’re glad we send what we consider to be our best for that year. It generally is good quality.

Sanremo is the Festival of the Italian Song, so it is quite logic that some of the most popular artists are on top of the chart. Considering that getting the Eurovision pass is not their main purpose, I’d say that Sanremo winners have done quite well in ESC so far.

Well, Sanremo is the Festival of the Italian Song, so it is quite logic that it hosts what are supposedly the top notch acts of the Italian music scene, even if that means having few of the same artists performing for some year in a row. It would be nonsensical, both in terms of art and marketing, to leave them at home.

Angelina Mango would be a great Eurovision contender. Rose Villian is my fave, hopefully she picks out a more fitting outfit next time tho xD

La Sad has a great song, the performance wasn’t perfect though so it took a couple listens before it latched onto my brain.

Not sure why Rose Villian is so underrated. Although I’m sure fellow ‘24 alum Emma can relate, La Mia Città was overlooked back in 2014 despite being an absolute banger

If Angelina or Mahmood go to Eurovision they will win and I think Italy doesn’t want to win again so they will not choose either of them.
Annalisa’s song is a good song but not contemporary enough to win the contest so a safer choice for Italy who wants a good ranking but not to host the competition again.

Nothing close to Marina’s style lol. I don’t know how you even thought this lol. If you expect something like Annalisa’s song from Marina you will be disappointed.
