We love her to the Moon and back, and we’re thrilled to say Poland’s LUNA will be performing at the London Eurovision Party 2024! Her song “The Tower” was chosen by Polish broadcaster TVP‘s internal selection panel and revealed recently.
LUNA will be taking to the stage at Here At Outernet in central London on April 7th with her upbeat empowering anthem. We cannot wait to see what she brings to amaze the crowd!
Who is LUNA?
Twenty-four year old LUNA is from the Polish capital of Warsaw. The singer (real name Aleksandra Wielgomas) told Poland’s Radiowawa that she chose the name LUNA, as it is “full of secrets and magic”. She also says she sleepwalks so chose it as a nod to the night, and the moon. Previously, she has said Nick Cave and Björk are her biggest influences – hints of which can be heard in her songs.
She was chosen internally by TVP, in a contest among jurors. They assigned oints, and she won with 34 of them. It is notable that she beat Justyna Steczkowska‘s song “WITCH-ER Tarohoro”. Fans had latched onto this somewhat before the results came to be. However, with the announcement of LUNA, many fans were delighted at the light synth joyous pop provided from Poland. A current sound, and very easy to sing along to, we’re sure “The Tower” will have fans at the London Eurovision Party entranced.
London Eurovision Party 2024
The London Eurovision Party is the biggest annual Eurovision event in the United Kingdom.
The party will see a majority of artists from the year of 2024, but joining them will be some Eurovision alumni too. This year the party celebrates its 15th edition at Here at Outernet in the UK capital.
Here at Outernet is a large concert venue right in the beating heart of London. It is known for its artistic styling and modern spaces. The London Eurovision Party will provide an excellent chance for a British audience to see their favourite acts before the contest itself.
