Serbia has chosen an act for Eurovision 2024. The grand final of Pesma za Evroviziju 24 was a hotly contested event, but it was Teya Dora who emerged as the winner.
Teya will now head to Malmö to wave the Serbian flag with the song “Ramonda”
Pesma za Evroviziju 24: Grand final results

Teya Dora reacts to her victory
Speaking to our Cinan in the RTS studios moments after her victory, Teya was overwhelmed and emotional.
“[I feel] weird. So weird. But again so grateful and so grateful for the audience who voted and so grateful to the jury, especially Marija Serifovic.”
“She said such a beautiful thing. I can’t even remember now, but when she said I knew I’d already won in my head because it was just so beautiful for her to say that.”
“I’m a little frozen. That’s why I sound like this!”
“Okay, so like all of this work that we did and all of this emotion that we put in — it made me so happy. For my whole team and for everybody who recognised this song. It comes from a pure emotion and pure honesty. People figured it out. It was emotional.”
When we spoke she hadn’t yet spoken to her family.
“I took my phone on stage with me and I had my gum in my mouth, and then somebody took my phone. I haven’t even talked to my mom. She’s probably crazy ecstatic at home because I know how she is.”
?? The stage is yours, but the pleasure is ours. Teya Dora takes her first walk as a #Eurovision2024 singer!

Are you happy with the Pesma za Evroviziju 24 results? How will Serbia do at Eurovision in May? Shout out in the comments below.
I have to say that Ramonda creeped into my ESC 2024 top 5…
5. Serbia
4. Greece
3. Slovenia
2. Austria
1. Croatia
😉
Quite a controversial process, but we decided to send a compromise. Serbia is currently in deep state of divide, the populist politics and on a verge on abandoning EU aspirations and go back to aggessive vocabulary from the 90s. The song contest revealed this divide. 3 songs on the top show the situation in our socitey: Konstrakta which is the most intelligent and by far the best choice for the contest did not attract attention because to many intelligent people have left our country, Breskvica with “Gnezdo Orlovo” which is just a cover for “Kosovo” and it openly calls for… Read more »
Do you think anyone gives a sh*t about political situation in Serbia, especially in esc bubble?
This song is not about political situation in Serbia. At all. Whatsoever, this song is about finding goodness, light and true meaning in the quiet, small but powerful things, such as this flower that can resurrect and rise from the cold stone! It is a powerful methaphore and IT IS – very much so- appropriate for ‘esc bubble’.
I agree with your analysis in general, although I wouldn’t go as far as to say that “Gnezdo orlovo” openly calls for genocide – I can’t imagine a song openly calling for genocide being admitted to the national selection in any country. I’d say it’s just a stark reminder that, although ethnic Serbs constituted a third of the population in Kosovo a hundred years ago, their number has dropped to 10% even before the Yugoslav wars started, and that today it is below 5%, while ethnic Albanians in the same period went up from 60% to above 90%. These are… Read more »
Such a fantastic song
This didnt shake up my paella.
Loreen without toaster,
I miss the heat of the oven.
its decent enough.
But some more hotter dishes are being served at the ESC table.
Serbia had a fine selection this year and I’m happy to see Teya win. I wanted her to take part of PZE and ESC since I discovered Dzanum, and thank God it didn’t take too long! 😀
I really like this one. One of the better entries this year! Well done Serbia!
This song Ramonda is non festival song
You can not even understand what the girl is singing, mubuling who knows. Probably only herself. The outfit is just a bad choppy of something already seen on stage. Very bad choice for such a grand festival. Apparently in Serbia they lack of sense for this kind of festival. The last and probably the only time that Serbia will ever win agin was with Molitva by Maria Šerifovi?.
I really like that people love Ramonda. It’s a really mesmerizing ballad and a special song!
Unfortunately, there are a lot of Serbs hating the song only because of other favorites they had. That is really sad….. Imagine, ESC fans from other countries adore the song, and native people ( some of them) hating publicly. This makes me want Ramonda to win it all!!! It’s amazing!
My current ranking list with 29 countries
Slovenia 11,5/12
Lithuania 10,5/12
Italy 10/12

This one may need some time to grow on me. As a standalone song it leaves me a bit underwhelmed, though the staging for it is pretty. It’s missing a truly powerful climax for it to really prove its worth
she’s gonna pull an alika and finish in the top 10, but with a much better song
serbia, croatia and slovenia…all have top 10 material this year
I hope so… Look at my list
She can’t pull an Alika because Alika is better singer than her just about the amount she is better singer than me and any other amateur.
I agree that Teya’s song is better in general, but that’s not enough. I wouldn’t compare those two.
Teya will struggle to qualify. If she does, top 10 from jury in the final should be achievable.
Struggle to qualify? If Luka Black did Teya will be esc23 winner!!! 😀
This is fan only so its different. If there were juries it would be easy. Yes, and others? 22 points (which is maximum) won’t be enough. It works both ways, because Slovenia might get the same, and Slovenia is the biggest rival here.
Struggle to qualify ….Slovenia and Croatia are at the same SF!
On a side note, Israeli national broadcaster announced it asked the songwriters of “October Rain” and “Dance Alone” to make changes to pass the EBU check for song verification. Lol, Kan previously stated it will disagree on any changes and demanded the EBU to act “professionally”. Well, look what we have – a two faced NATIONAL broadcaster doing everything to be able to spread propaganda in Europe. Get lost!
GET! OUT!
Exactly my thoughts friend! GET OUT, ISRAEL! GET! OUT!
The Israeli government and the minister for culture asked Germany for support in getting approval for participation. This is insane.
The israeli broadcaster should focus itself on more important things happening in their area’s than participating is a song contest!!
Both organisations as EBU and KAN lost all their credibility for me.
I don’t think the EBU is at fault here. Kan and the Israeli g have controlled the narrative.
The EBU should crack their frozen their backs in bending forward looking for those old Founding manual of Le Grand Concours dÉurovision 1956!!
If they open that book and reread what has been written there. They realize the missed some pages recently!!
Welkom in Europapa!
they
Sorry but I don’t understand how your comment relates to mine.
Im sorry my bad.
I would liked to express that the EBU is not really clear in handling the core message of the Eurovision Songcontest. Imo over time they apply the same rules differently. With inconcistency as a result.
They state to Unify and bring peace thru music only is it causing alot of division.
I think the same about Ukraine.
I have to say I agree with your assessment. The Israeli government has been releasing all the statements regarding the situation. As always no independent corroboration.
Bruh, can’t people change their minds. Give it a break!
Why people keep saying in the comments that Gnezdo orlovo was a political entry?
Just because a song speaks about Eagles, people think that Albania is involved?
I am not Serbian and since I heard the song,I was all for the song because it was a very traditional song.
If you don’t know some things about the Yugoslavian war and memory culture you will not understand
I know i am half Albanian. The song speaks about eagles. Half the songs of all balkan folklore songs mention birds, trees and plants. Nothing weird here.
If you don’t know some things about the Yugoslavian war and memory culture you will not understand
It doesn’t have to do anything with Albania. Nor Kosovo, although it is probably about Kosovo. It is about the “global injustice” against Serbia. You can pick whatever war/conflict in the history, Yugoslav civil war, NATO bombardment 1999, Kosovo wars prior to that, WWII, whatever you want.
It basically speaks about ethnic cleansing of Kosovo, as in getting rid of Kosovars.
Too bad about the lyrics, as the somg itself it something just up my ally whem it comes to ethnic ESC entries.
Also, too bad Teya Dora didn’t come with somethinh more Džanum-like. This song isn’t bad, although a bit on the boring side, and I’m getting too many Billie Eilish vibes.
Vjera, zašto nisi normalna?
Gde se, molim te, spominje etni?ko ?iš?enje Kosovara?
I, molim te da nam objasniš šta je to ta?no Kosovar?
Let’s keep it civil. And in English, please, so people can understand us. Ad 1) The only abnormality here is a rampant display of “your” mythomania as well as sheer stupidity. Even Breskvica’s statements about Serbs being heavenly speak to this sick narrative. I am glad normal Serbia won in this case and decided not to embarrass you any further. Ad 2) An excerpt from an agricultural handbook or a touching tale of animal parenting these lyrics are not. Ad 3) Kosovars are citizens of Kosovo, much like Serbians (Srbijanci) are citizens of Serbia. More narrowly of couse, Kosovars are… Read more »
Wrong. The songs speaks of Serbs surviving attacks – specifically of bombing – as the hail from the sky ruins the nest. Also, the census shows it is the Serbs and non-Albanians who have been cleansed from Kosovo. 250,000 at least are gone while the Albanians stole the homes and properties of those people and actively prevent them from returning. That is permanent ethnic cleansing. It was also the KLA in conjunction with NATO bombing which cause the Albanians to leave for Macedonia and Albania. It wasn’t happening before the bombing, and a German journalist, embedded with the KLA witnessed… Read more »
I am not really having this convo with you. This is a music board.
But since you’re mentioning NATO bombing, I will remind you of the 1974 Yugoslav constitutiom that granted authonomy to Kosovo and Vojvodina. Serbia has been fighting this since the 1980s and in the process, during the breaking of Yugoslavia, it started four wars. FOUR!
Pick your f****** side and finally decide to live in peace.
I’m out!
Actually a couple of Israeli newspapers admit that the lyrics were a specific reference to the attack and subsequent actions.
Not a bad show. Konstrakta and Dzordzi were my personal winners. So sad to not see “Luna Park” receiving more love. It kind of reminded me to Slovenia 2023.
I was very engaged with the song of Konstrakta, actually with more energy than her previous one.
Which I loved. back than.
The current ESC entry of Serbia falls complete flat on me.
with the exception of probably germany, nf juries have been on point this season
Not at all…
Germany made the only and best choice.
It’s a nice song that stands out in this year’s line-up. Finally there’s someone to challenge Slimane’s pole position with the juries. I could see Teya Dora score a Top 10 finish in Malmö.
It’s nowhere near Slimane
I actually like this more than Slimane. Slimane has a great voice and interpretation but the song is rather unimaginative for me. I get more absorbed into Teya’s performance
Does anyone know release dates of other songs
Serbia continues to be high in my personal top this year as well. A very mesmerizing song with an impressive dark staging and a modern Balkan Ballad. Good job! I think it will grow on me even more having listened to it today for the first time
I agree, and the meaning of the text is even better. I don’t know if you know this.. Teya Dora sings about the despair that people felt and experienced in WW1. How they fought with little hope that they would survive, and lilac ramonda (lila ramonda in Serbian) is a VERY rare and protected flower that, at that time, grew only in Serbia. Lila ramonda is a flower that grows from ashes, and when it withers, just one drop of water is enough for it to bloom immediately (like magic, right?). That’s why lilac ramonda is now recognized in the… Read more »
Thats a very beautifull context. I wasnt aware of.
Somehow it didnt come across to me in her presentation.
Hope she and her team can work on a good staging bringing this message alot beter to the ESC stage.
This is why we’ve got juries, to try saving some integrity and avoid complete and utter embarrassment like Breskvica’s entry.
Just imagine if Breskvica and Bashar Murad had won. Nobody would have talked about music anymore until next September. Now let’s hope KAN will send the most fluffy and uncontroversial song it possibly can so we can leave all this drama and all those politics behind once and for all.
Seeing the serbian public so mad about this song winning over Breskvica makes me wanna See this reach top 5.
They think that this 50:50 split between jury and public is something only they have as if they have never watched the ESC
Zorja was had a true winning potential. The rest is just annoying or crap. Sorry, Serbia. No finals for you in Malmo.
But they haven’t. Many of them see only social network posts such as “vote for number 8”, because Breskvica was 8th in the semifinal running order. Imagine if number 8 in the finals won the televote as a result 🙂
Omg really hahah thats why Dzordzi got such a high position?
Who knows? I heard that as a joke – but as they say, there is a grain of joke in every joke.
Konstrakta much much better, they choose wrong
Teya Dora followed the same recipe for Ramonda like she had with Dzanum. But the latter had a catchier hook. I think it will still reach a decent result in the finals
Catchier climax *
I dont know why i got dislikes, omg. Listen to her other songs or the stuff she writes for others, they don’t Sound like this. She used the the recipe of her most famous song, whats bad about it ?
Because Serbs wanna pretend Teya Dora wasn’t a wrong pick just like Luke Black lol
It’s time for a Balkan country to win Eurovision.
Zagreb 2025 or Belgrade 2025!
Could happen, why not… even if I personally believe Slovenia is by far better than those two.
Both cities already organized the ESC in the past. Belgrade doesn’t stand a chance this time, but Zagreb stands reasonable chances.
After seeing the production value in these NF’s, I don’t think I want a Balkan host. Yikes.
I meant Croatia of course, Serbia was pretty good
Probably a borderline qualifier, or maybe even a NQ. But as long as it’s not Konstrakta again, it’s fine by me…
OMG…what for a beautiful song.
It’s just a gorgeous song
that this feel so authentic and i love that dark/ethnic mood.
This goes straight to my top 5,maybe even top3.
How many ballad in semi 1 ??? I think this will probably end 4th – 8th in semi and Top 10 in final.
why r people downvoting this, this seems completely plausible lol
The top contenders for winning Eurovision are becoming increasingly apparent. Unfortunately, and as expected, Serbia is not among them.
I have to agree with you. I didnt it expected tho!!
Serbia being very strong in recent years.
Another surprise this Saturday. I didn’t really follow PZE, but I didn’t think this was the one that was most talked about. It’s a beautiful song and she performs it well, it has this special Balkan vibe that plenty of people appreciate. It looks good and I’m sure it will be staged well in Malmö. That being said, it doesn’t really feel very impactful and tbh it follows a lot of well-trodden paths. It may be enough to scrape through in semi 1, but it’s in the first half with Slovenia being in the second half with a song that’s… Read more »
At first I didn’t like the song but than.. I started listening to it bc of my younger sister and I love it now, and the meaning of the lyrics is even better. I don’t know if you know this.. It’s not doing much for me. I don’t dislike the song but I don’t really like it either. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

It’s a good song, and she looks fresh and contemporary.
My thing with this kind of dark, dramatic Balkan ballads is that they come out a bit boring and I also found the repetition of “Ramonda” too much.
Not sure how this will score with televotes in the semi. Not catchy or exciting enough, I guess.
Good luck Srbija!
That was virtually word for word what I was thinking as I listened a few moments ago. I would add that it takes a while to get get going and fades away with out really reaching a climax. I have a feeling this may be revamped in the coming weeks. It’s not the worst by a long shot.
There was several other better songs than this snooze-fest. This song is boring, at least I’ll have 3 minutes to go to the toilet.
Strong ballad – 10/12
An agreement was reached between the Israel Broadcasting Corporation and the EBU, Israel is ready to change the lyrics of the song in exchange for participation, in the coming days we may see an increase in Israel in the betting charts due to the announcement by “Kan”
If the song is still accepted despite the changes. If the EBU still reject it, that’s curtains for Israel.
Well great, Slovenia just lost all hopes of qualifying :-/
Nahh, It will, both songs are great.
The Slovenian song is good. But I saw Veronika performed live (at a national final, can’t remember where) and it was utterly underwhelming. This kind of songs need a powerful emotional performance to go through and shine. She was rather bland.
Again, the song is good but really, this song needs a Lady Gaga level performance to be elevated and stand out.
It was at Dora, and it wasn’t the official version of the song. Still, amazing performance.
Raiven performed at Dora but she had no staging there, she only focused on the vocals and song. She is practicing atm with the ballet group in Slovenia. I think it will be good in May
Well, if you perceive Raiven’s performance at Dora as lackluster, it’s almost as if you were watching it with the sound turned off. Her performance was a masterpiece compared to yesterday’s winner. Raiven has an amazing voice and stage presence that I missed yesterday. The Serbian winner is ok for me, but that’s where my excitement stops. On the other hand, Serbia’s significant advantage lies in its robust diaspora, which consistently rallies behind their entries. Unfortunately, Slovenia lacks this reliable support. I personally believe the reintegration of juries into the semi-finals would need to be considered, as they can provide a… Read more »
It was the acoustic version on Dora and she was great in my opinion
Serbia is in the first half of the semi, Slovenia in the second. I think Veronika is a stronger song; if Raiven manages a good staging, she’ll blow Serbia away.
Hold your hourses lol Serbia will easily beat Slovenia this year (as it does every year lol). Serbia is going to challange top 10 or even higher, while Slovenia sred its success in simply qualifying to the final
sees its success*
Didn’t do last year lol
Glad we didn’t get a vaguely threatening song winning lol
Ramonda to me is reminding me of… A more modern version of Serbia 2008 maybe? I like it.
Breskvica won the public. Why was she placed 6th by the jury? What’s the point to even vote at that point?!
I’m not saying Ramonda is a bad song. Instead of disliking my comment why don’t you explain where you disagree?
What would be the point of jury vote if they were expected to vote exactly like public?
Oh come on…6th? It’s obvious it was because of the political message of the song. And ofcourse there would be problems with EBU if it was chosen.
Does Constracta have mobility issues? Why did she choose to sit this one out (literally and figuratively) with arguably the best song of the night? I guess the dough in a basin was a cute nod to her prior ESC entry but that got old after 15 seconds. Where was the creativity in visual presentation? I’m scratching my head as she was presented to us a strong imaginative artist a few years ago. What a shame.
Correcting my typo…Konstrakta
Yeah I don’t think you’ll get it anyway, but it’s pretty much obvious why everything looked the way it did. Hint: read the lyrics
Symbolism, again. Her song is about modern people urging for novelties every day, and yet nothing basically changes in our lives. It’s also about the political slogan of the party that’s been ruling Serbia for more than a decade – faster, stronger, better – but nothing is better in Serbia. So, Konstrakta nailed it again, though her symbolism is not everybody’s cup of tea.
looooooove it
I know that the whole point of the song is to convey some emotions, but it makes me feel nothing.I definitely won’t be adding it to my playlist. I am pretty sure Serbia won’t qualify to the GF this year, and that’s very sad since they had BETTER options such as Zorja, Zejna, or even Konstrakta…
So are we talking about predictions or taste here? I can accept your opinion about the song, but your prediction is not based on statistics, patterns etc, just wanted to tell you that. We have 3 Slavic countries competing in the first semi final. Teya Dora is an international hit that is going viral on ALL social media platforms. Her song stands out (whether you like it or not), and that means more attention. If Eurovision was really just about “taste”, then unknown countries would win every year. And it’s not just about winning. If you don’t build momentum at… Read more »
I am obviously talking about my opinion regarding the song as well as my predictions. I know she’s got a viral hit song, but guess what.. that viral hit song is “Dzanum”, and here we are talking about “Ramonda”, which are two different songs, and arguably the latter is not (nearly) as good as the first one. Her vocals are just too weak for such a song so I expect similar issues as with Luke in May. The song feels unfinished, and as soon as it starts feeling like it’s going somewhere, it ends, and we don’t want that. And… Read more »
Can we talk about the fact that Breskvica got 45k votes from the public, Teya 28k and Zorja 10k?
I feel like this goes against what the public wished for. But I am actually so glad that she won because people all around the world know her, though her song is a little weak in my opinion (but beautiful though).
So my personal fav was Zorja, the act I think is supposed to win is Breskvica because of public vote and the act that is best for eurovision is Teya. Sre?no Teya 🙂
I think politics should be kept out of Eurovision, while patriotism is welcome. I also think Breskvica’s and Teya’s song most clearly show the difference between the two. So, as for me, the jury did their job well. I also believe (evidence from social networks) that many young people voted for Breskvica because they knew who she is, but haven’t seen any of her live performances (including last night). I don’t say the performance was bad, I just think they voted blindly (we can only guess to what degree the vote was also politically motivated). Anyway, I wouldn’t give too… Read more »
shock, shock, shock…
1st half of SF1 is already completed and it’s stacked.
Some artists will really need to do their best I think
I like it!! Q for me!!
lifeless song and performance… likely nq with the semi 1 competition. pze had better choices.
I think this is qualifying to the final.
Pretty song! I got a bit of Loreen vibes watching this. For those complaining about the lack of female ballad you can be happy it’s a nice one, great addition to the line up and the staging is on point, good luck Serbia!
I’ve watched her performance during the serbian semi-final and in the live chat serbian people described her as the serbian loreen (probably because of her haircut).
In my opinion I feel like she is more the serbian billie eilish. Definatly enjoyed listening to her and it’s one of the songs I could listen to more than once.
I am just wondering if it’s not too much of a tender song for the eurovision song. Probably better to listen to with headphones in a focused or relaxed moody situation.
But goof luck to her! She is a good artist.
And the dress and song. This is a copy of Tatoo
My favorite won!!! Wow, over the moon for her. Lila Ramondaaaaa :))))
She Is A Large!
Good staging, although multiple elements remind me of previous contestants. As for the song..not my cup of tea I suppose. It doesn’t really do much and I am not so sure about it pulling ahead.
Agree. Not bad not exciting either.
