Twenty will advance from the two semi-finals, while another six — France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom — will join them in the final. But amid all the music and all the strong voices, who will come out on top?

As you’re well aware, the results of the Eurovision Song Contest are determined by a 50/50 jury-televote split. The votes of professional jury members don’t always align with the preferences of the public.
In recent years the overall Eurovision winner has not won both segments of the vote. In 2023, Sweden’s Loreen topped the jury vote, but came second with the public. In 2022, Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra placed fourth with the jury but won the public vote in a landslide. In 2021, Italy’s Måneskin topped the televote, but only placed fourth with the jury. While in 2019 The Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence won neither — placing third with the jury and second with the public. It was a similar story for Israel’s Netta in 2018 — first with the public, third with the jury. Portugal’s Salvador Sobral was the last Eurovision winner to win both segments of the vote.

I do need to add that Joost added everyone to the credits even if he only asked feedback on the song. There are also a few different styles in his song so it’s not unusual for him to go out and find writers with experience for each style. Like joost said “This is the first time I took a contest this seriously instead of just having fun”
The Netherlands, Greece or Switzerland.
These acts are either innovative, cultural or fresh, or a combination of the entire three. I would personally like to see Greece or Switzerland lift the trophy, simply because I think it’s time that something so current and slightly different wins Eurovision. My guilty pleasure is Ireland, I hope they pull it out of the bag and shock everyone in Malmo, it’s time Ireland takes back the title of most wins.
