Forty-two year old Celine Dion gave birth to premature twin boys on Saturday, finally realizing her dream of becoming a mother again following a long struggle to become pregnant.
Doctors delivered the yet-to-be named boys by cesarean section at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Dion, the winner of the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, checked into the hospital on Oct. 16 as a precaution “to prevent the early delivery of her babies,” the medical center said. Obstetricians considered her pregnancy high-risk both because it involved multiple births and because of her age.
The My Heart Will Go On singer suffered a miscarriage in November 2009. She and husband Rene Angelil have a nine-year old son, Rene-Charles.
In honor of Celine’s achievement, Wiwi hopes you’ll enjoy this encore presentation of Celine’s 1988 Eurovision performance of Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi.
