After two exciting semi-finals on Tuesday and Thursday, it is time for Moldova to choose its musical envoy to Copenhagen on Saturday night’s national final. But before then, you get to cast your vote first!

Could Saturday be Boris Covalis “Perfect Day” or might Cristina Scarlat’s “Wild Soul” prevail? Both songs won their respective semi-finals, but this does not mean that the winner is necessarily one of them. Last year, Boris was also first in his semi-final and finished first in the televoters’ eyes in the final, but Aliona Moon, who was third in the semi-final, still managed to steal Boris’s spotlight and shot to Eurovision stardom in Sweden with “O mie”. This year, Boris admitted that he put in excess of 10.000 dollars behind his show (dude literally makes it rain, y’all!), so he does indeed mean business. But could Cristina outdo Boris or is another Aliona lurking among the 16 contestants who will battle it out on the big night? What do you think?

But first, let’s refresh our memory and listen to the songs again, this time in the running order drawn by the finalists. (Mind you, not all clips from the second semi-final were readily available when we published the poll.)

By choosing the fantastic “O mie” by the amazing Aliona Moon last year it will be very difficult to surpass this entry. It’s a very tough act to follow. “O mie” was an amazing song and had a very good act and deserved nothing less than a top 5 in the final. Personally, I think it’s the best entry from Moldova so far. The Moldovan final last year was incredibly strong, but also this year’s final in Moldova is strong. I like almost all the songs. My big favorites: – Ana Cernicova – Dragostea divin? – Aurel Chirtoac? – Urme… Read more »

Sorry, of course Mikaella – Follow Your Dreams is the best in Moldova. Tiraspol 2015.

I hope Margarita recovers completely for the final, but I doubt it. It’s a real shame because Vis was my absolute favourite from the start. Even so, go Margarita!
Energy would be a fun option, Doinita is my second favourite and her performance in the semi was great.
I don’t mind Boris but I don’t see why the hype about Cristina, if it goes for either of those, I prefer Boris.
Also, Dragostea Divina is growing on me!

Haven’t really been following the Moldovan national selection, but some good songs are “I’m Yours”, “Vis”, “Energy”, “The Way I Do”, “One and All”, “Dragostea divina”, and “Follow Your Dreams”.

@bav
Good idea… Certainly Moldova could lend some songs to another countries… At least 3 or 4 songs could be in ESC.

Eurovision should look like UEFA Champions League. Moldova deserves more than one representative.
