AZERBAYCANIM <3 INWALLAH QALIB OLACAQSAN DILARA <3
LETS TALK Once again I agree with you, what abeautiful melody, you are right, we heard too much of those songs telling us story about someone falling in love with someone and dreaming crying for love while feeling so lonely and we have heard too much of clowns with no emotions no soul as well, therefore 2 years in a row we had winning songs that sends message to the world rather than falling in love with one person dreaming world , “Eurphoria” and “Only Teardrops” and songs like this gets in very high position with so many points, some… Read more »
BEAUTIFUL SONG NOT FAKE LOVE LIKE FALLING IN LOVE WITH SOME ONE & CRYING 4 SOMEONE ONLY. START FIRE IS REAL SONG ABOUT WHOLE WORLD
The song is originally written in English, and clearly sounds better in that language, in addition to having excellent English literary qualities.
Only jealous people say negative things about Azerbaijan lol
This song will reincarnate Mozart himself. Great song and performance Dilara, you’re unique in the contest! Azerbaijan – Land of Fire on Atletico Madrid t-shirts.
Hope they will win this year on the background of your song:-)
@Marcelo N, that’s great news! My full support is with you. I love songs with a message and full of emotions. And your poem(s) have that special thing (I’ve only read one of them yet). I hope you’ll do very well. Good luck! 😉
@ Erin – Couldn’t agree more: despite a certain “unfinished” feel to it, the song is hypnotising. Well put!! @ Rashad – Good to know about the lyrics, and as usual your honest opinion. Just FYI, I followed your advice and I’ve begun to work on some “ethnic” tune (so far the vocal phrasing, I am not a composer but a writer!) for one of my poems. I hope I can have it more detailed one day and have the chance to share it with you. You now go and get me through to the Azeri big fish to take… Read more »
This language (Azeri-Turkish) just doesn’t fit to this swedish (european) tune and even Armenian duduk (or how they call it there in Iran and Azerbaijan) can’t help. English version is way better.
Definitely sounds better in English and this coming from a person who loves ethnic music.
Nooo!!! I hope turkey won’t return in the contest.
I hope they will play fair this year .
Turkey will be back next year xD it won’t be good for Azeris .Turkish diaspora will definitely vote for Turkish contestant. So Azerbaijan will have to corrupt countries again : /
So votes will mostly go to Turkey and Armenia .
Let’s see what will happen next year .If Armenia wins it will be even interesting .Turkey will participate ,however I doubt that Azerbaijan will .
But for this year Good luck to cute Dilara.Though song is boring but voice is good .Oh yea and English version is better .
I prefer the English version. It sounds more harmonious in English.
The chorus part means almost as same as the original one. The rest of the lyrics is a little different. I like it anyway.
Is an ok song , too bland , sure not a winner,
Many eurovision fans are prudish and dull. I think of Eurovision 24 hours a day. This is my prediction of final and BETFAIR odds:
1. Russia 95.00
2. Ukraine 15.50
3. Estonia 120.00
4. Ireland 360.00
5. Azerbaijan 36.00
6. Denmark 15.00
7. Romania 80.00
8. Finland 190.00
9. United Kingdom 15.50
10. Armenia 2.60
It’s more harmonious and nuanced in English. I wish we knew how much the Azeri lyrics are compatible (or not) with the original English lyrics.
I have to admit that the song is hypnotizing regardless of what I feel towards Azerbaijan’s practices in allegedly corrupting the contest, but people need to realize there are other countries stretching the limits of what is considered fair play and just because Azerbaijan is taking the heat doesn’t mean it’s not happening elsewhere.
I hope this year will be Azerbaijan’s last year in the contest if they don’t play fair. Ebu should take measures.
very good-ONE OF THE BEST ENRTRIES OF AZERBAIJAN…….
Azerbaijan can’t play fair. It’s so easy to pay micro states like Cyprus, Malta, Bosnia, and other corrupted countries. And every years is the same again and again…
Azerbaijan play fair otherwise we will kick you out of the contest.
I think it sounds better in English.
