Patrick: Malta have really improved their vocals since the national selection and I really adore the selfie background. The staging is not really surprising and, dare I say it, a bit boring. But that doesn’t matter. I don’t care about the performance, and I don’t like the flower background…but I love the song. Their strong vocals more than make up for any visual shortcomings.
Wiwi: Sometimes less is more, and Malta clearly understands that. Rather than hitting us over the head with over-the-top pyrotechnics and flashing LEDs, they flash a series of selfies they solicited from across Europe. The random faces emphasize the theme of their song and are a reminder of our shared humanity. We all face separation from loved ones inevitibly.

Malta is on my TOP 37 in on last 37 place.
Coming Home by Firelight is really burning bright. I like this song. I cannot believe that Malta, in their 41 years in the Eurovision Song Contest, that they have NEVER won. If Helena Paparizou didn’t win in 2005, it should have been Valetta 2006.
SELFIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
I’m hoping to catch sight of me up there 🙂
well done MALTA .. …
