“I like it this big.”

Back in June London Greek Radio claimed that “reliable sources” had confirmed that Cyprus would make its return to Eurovision. Well it now looks like they might have jumped the gun. PhileNews reports that, although various reports have suggested Cyprus’ return is done and dusted, the state broadcaster CyBC won’t make a final decision until next week.

We’re staying optimistic. Cyprus’ return to Junior Eurovision keeps our hopes alive that Nicosia will return to the contest this year in Austria. We’re keeping our fingers crossed. Reports have also emerged that suggest the broadcaster is considering a national selection process as in 2012, in which an internally selected artist performs a series of songs and the public chooses the number. The Cypriots obviously La-La Loved that idea.

Cyprus last participated in 2013 with Despina Olympiou singing An Me Thimasai. You can see her performance below. Gorgeous lady. So-so song…

So what do you think? Do you think Cyprus is in or out? Why would they return to JESC and not ESC?

Cyprus should Select Valando Trifonos to go to Eurovision she’s well known in Cyprus and in Greece. Greece should consider Demy at Eurovision after her recent success at MAD VMA 2014

Yes they are in. Who would be so stupid to participate at Jesc but not ESC?

Would be nice to see Cyprus back, along with Czech Republic and Serbia.

Not too bothered about Croatia, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovakia returning through, I never liked any of their songs.
