It was no surprise when Aliona Moon, who auditioned on the Voice of Romania a couple of months ago, won tonight’s Battle round, advancing to the live shows which will start next week. It was exciting nonetheless!
The 2013 Moldovan representative at Eurovision wowed her coach Smiley again with her rendition of “Say Something” (by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera), which she performed together with her team mate Claudiu Rusu. The coaches pointed out that both singers conveyed real emotions and that it was a duet, rather than a duel. In the end, Aliona was picked by Smiley and will continue her Voice of Romania journey in the live rounds of the talent show. Her talented team mate was also picked by another coach to advance to the next stage.
