Tonight was one of the biggest Super Saturdays ever. Despite all the action across Europe, we just had to watch the first semi final of A Dal 2015 in Hungary. Nine acts sang their hearts out, but the jury could only send three of them directly to the final, while the public could save one of the remaining six.

Let’s see how Hungary decided…

A Dal: Semi Final 1 qualifiers

Boggie – Wars for Nothing (47 points)

Adam Szabo – Give me your Love (47 points)

Zoltan Mojahin – Beside You (43 points)

The fourth qualifier

While those three acts started their celebrations, the other six acts faced an agonizing wait for the public to decide who it would save.

Karmapolis – “Time is Now” (36 points)
New Level Empire – “Homelights” (33 points)
Pankastic! – “Kicsi a világ, de nagy világ” (34 points)
Timi Antal – “Woke up this way” (39 points)
Vera Toth – “Gyemant” (32 points)
Spoon – “Keep Marching On” (41 points)

The public decided to save this:

Spoon – Keep Marching On (41 points)

Very sad about Vera and New Level Empire, but I still believe Hungary will pick a strong song! This was a really quality year for A Dal

Passed’s Mesmerize is an amazing song. However, it turned out that the girl sings very falsely live. I’s a shame.

Passed with Mesmerize is the best in A Dal.
I don’t understand why people like Kati Wolf? Her song is my least favorite in A Dal. What About My Dreams was kinda bad as well.

I think that hungary really want to win… Booggie, Kati wolf and Orher Planet are just amazing. If they go for Booggie they might win

How did Spoon make it and New Level Empire not? Going for Boggie now.

Regarding the claims Boggie is singing without emotion… okay, her facial expression doesn’t change much. Just close your eyes and listen to her vocals, though, and you’ll likely feel the emotion, because that’s where she’s channeling all of it. She sings that song so incredibly well – if she wins Hungary’s contest, I’ll probably be rooting for Hungary over all other countries.

Oh god, I’m fed up of young boy bands. Adam’s probably my bet for Eurovision success for Hungary this year.

There are so many good songs in A Dal this year! I liked all four of the qualifiers, and I like that the points were so close too. Boggie’s song ‘Wars for Nothing’ is very powerful and should win A Dal, but, there is very strong competition, so they will all have to perform their best in the final. Good luck to them all. 🙂

I really like Adam Szabo’s song and I think that Boggie is overrated. I’m surprised that spoon made it through – I prefer timi antal because I loved that song from the start. So sad for Vera Toth though – I really liked her but I didn’t watch the show so I don’t know how her live performance was.

Boggie’s song is so boring and she sings so emotionless…I don’t get why almost everyone loves it.

Pankastic was my guilty pleasure, but at least they managed to qualify for the semi-final…
There’s not much to root for now, I guess. Unless Boggie can make her performance really political.

Boggie seems like the perfect choice. She is popular both in Hungary and internationally, her song is strong but easy to digest, and you can actually remember her performance for more than 5 minutes. #teamBOGGIE

I wish Vera made it but she wasn’t my favourite so it doesn’t bother me that much. Pretty sure Boggie’s gonna end up winning.
