Earlier this month Leonor Andrade released the final studio version of her Eurovision 2015 song “Há um mar que nos separa” — (There’s a sea between us). But there’s no slowing down this Portuguese starlet. She’s now confirmed that she is recording her song in both English and Spanish. She will also record two acoustic versions on the piano. All of these new (and welcome) additions will appear on her promo CD, which is scheduled to drop in the coming weeks.
Leonor Andrade dá voz a novas versões da música vencedora, mas será a versão portuguesa que nos representará em Viena.

This week Leonor gave us a small taste of her live vocals by posting a video on her Facebook page. We must say this doesn’t sound bad at all!
Para quem gosta de Etta James, deixo aqui um pequeno momento à capela 🙂

Please guys, befor comment, think! If this song was from
SWEDEN or U.K, everybody have love her! But Portugal is the black sheep of Europe, so we will not be in final? THAT IS WHAT YOU THINK! PORTUGAL IS STRONGER, AND WE WILL WIN IT ONE DAY! I AM SURE! FORÇAS LEONOR! #teamPortugal!
Will she look like she has been possessed by an unknown entity when she sings in English too? This is an awful song. No chance of getting to the Final.
@charles
Leonor is recording versions for people understand what she is going to sing in portuguese…i think your comment is too ridiculous. Portugal like always is underrated…and never won because of geo-politics…so do not worry because this year will be no exception.
Traditional thing. recording versions in languages used to be mandatory in the old school days … but it still remains a strategy to make people feel interested in the song by recording it in several languages. And for a country like Portugal recording in English is a banal as everybody else who chose to perform in English at the competition … recording in Spanish to try to persuade the spanish voters is kinda cliche and lazy … is Edurne recording in Portuguese? Of course not.
i really think that portugal can be on top 5 this year so many people inicially hate this song, but with time they are starting to love because its one of the best lyrics and one of the best beats.
I don’t really understand the hate around this song, I love it and I’ll vote for it. Good luck Portugal
Finally a song of Portugal with good chances of winning the contest. I have no doubt that will be the winner of the strongest semifinal, the second one.
Well se can waste her time xD
Spain can’t vote in your semifinal Leonor, and sorry but in the grand final I think you won’t appear…
Love it! The original is too rough and the later work of production played its role. I love the chorus but I think it can appear only in the second part of the song. Enhorabuena, una versión en español, que lujo. Y cuando sale?
I really think that Portugal will be the dark horse this year. This song has very deep sounds and reminds me somehow Goldfrapp. Today in the gym i gave to listen to two friends who loved it.
I do not know how they achieved an improvement so great since the original version to the new version.
Hugs from Debrecen.
SPANISH!
The only song I feel like listening in loop mode is the Portuguese song. They managed to produce a DJ version and at the same time unique. I hope they not present in Vienna an English version, as I should like that all versions of my country were always in Hebrew.
I am Swedish (mother’s side) and I do not like the Swedish song this year. Sorry. I will vote in Norway and for the first time in Portugal. I knew this song today for the first time, since so many people here speak of it and it’s my favorite now. Top 3:
Portugal
Norway
Poland
My votes go to the only countries to sing in their own languages (in no particular order):
Montenegro
Portugal
Ireland
Malta
Why you don’t put already the new portuguese version???
And @Piuk – please, make us a favour, disapear from here!!! Stupid comment from a stupid person -.-
Normally I would rush to hear the English version but I find the original so dreary, I don’t think I’ll bother.
No need Leonor, really.
I don’t think that Portugal has chances of qualifying to the final….Very unlikely to happen..
The portuguese entry is my least liked from the 17 songs of the 2nd semifinal & on the bottom 10 of my top40..
I would actually prefer it if Leonor sings in the english version her entry..
If Portugal manages to qualify to the final these fans that will gonna bet with $ 4 this country’s qualification will win much money! 🙂
Portugal is a clear outsider in the Diamond Vision of Vienna..
I saw that video,Its Leonor singing Nina Simone, I put a Spell on you!! <3 <3 <3
This girl sings A LOT – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqdWc68Uu2M
What?? this girl sings Etta James à Capela??? wow, Top!!!
i love portugal, i love portuguese language, and i love this music! good luck Portugal , 12 points from germany <3
if this music were of Sweden , everyone loved !
Oh good Lord in heaven, that godawful mix IS real.
I *would* confidently declare that this song doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of qualifying for the final if it’s buried under all that production glop, but clearly my reality doesn’t even apply to Portugal …
How to multiplicate a torture three times
rock in english? well done portugal!
Portugal is very underrated this year.
is the only rock music , and will definitely stand out.
I love this song, and portugal go to the final!
Good luck Portugal!
Sorry? Portugal will compete in the second semi-final! GO LEONOR GO PORTUGAL
