Never underestimate Ireland at Eurovision. After their national final on The Late Late Show we weren’t sure what to think. But any fears we may have had were wiped away today. Molly Sterling’s first rehearsal of “Playing With Numbers” blew the press room away, and is considered by any as the best performance of the day. Molly was still ecstatic after the run-through, saying that she’s “walking on the clouds”. She tells us more about the revamp of both the song and staging since the national final. And confirmed that she never had any hesitation about signing up for Eurovision – “if you’re not going to enjoy it don’t do it”.
The young singer is unphased by her second place position in the running order, and is far more interested in enjoying the whole Eurovision experience, especially her awesome hotel room. I’m not sure at all if Ireland will manage to qualify…Most probably will not.. With no offense to Molly or her song.. Even if she is qualifier in the top10 in the juries i question if the televoting will boost her enough so she will pass from the SF.. A song that can finish 4th-5th-6th-7th in juries & with getting voted 15th-16th-17th in the televoting this does not mean that it will be enough to have the song going through the final.. the song is lovely but the running order is not helping. could do well in juries but no way in televoting
Molly is so amazing and funny, she really is just a typical average girl who got an amazing opportunity to do her country proud. Wishing her all the best 🙂
