Not only is Sandra Kim making an appearance at the Icelandic national final Söngvakeppnin on the 20th of February, but Loreen will also be paying her neighbors a visit, and will perform “Euphoria” in honor of Iceland’s 30 years of Eurovision.

Icelandic Eurovision fans are ecstatic over the upcoming interval acts and are willing to forgive a rather weak selection this year, and instead feast their eyes and ears on the well known winning numbers.

Loreen is no stranger to Iceland though. She has, on more than one occasion, expressed her love for the country, stating that the place is “magical”, and that she’s a huge fan of Björk. Whether those two divas will meet when Loreen comes to Reykjavík is difficult to say, but rest assured that both she and Sandra Kim will definitely receive a warm Eurovision welcome.

This year’s Söngvakeppni will be bigger than ever, and will be held at Laugardagshöll, one of Reykjavík’s biggest sports arenas which usually hosts football, handball and big rock concerts. So Loreen and Sandra won’t be performing in some dirthole. Iceland is celebrating and is in it for real this time.

How big is the arena with regards to audience capabilities at concerts?
