Several months ago, Game of Thrones producers confirmed that Eurovision 2014 host Pilou Asbæk would join the cast of the international hit series for its sixth season.
Now, ahead of the April 24 premiere, the show has released a series of trailers and teasers which give us a glimpse — albeit a very minor one — into Pilou’s character Euron Greyjoy. And by vague we mean split second almost invisible vague.
Even so, it’s an exciting first look at what the former Eurovision host and Borgen star has up his sleeve.
Pilou’s character Euron Greyjoy is an exiled nobleman who has returned to his homeland to lay claim on its leadership.
In A Song Of Ice and Fire, the books that inspired the series, his nickname is the Crow’s Eye and he owns a ship called Silence.
How do you think Euron will affect the game? Are you loving that Eurovision seems to have a connection to just about everything? Let us know in the comments below.

I like Pilou but GOT is not really my thing.
I’m still disappointed they didn’t do a The Bridge/Borgen/The Killing tie-in when the contest passed from Malmö to Copenhagen. Pilou is a great actor!
You can’t have favourites in Game of Thrones since they all die and very quickly to that. And they don’t follow the books that closely any-more so who knows?
Good to see Nordic actors and ESC.connections in it though.
I need to watch Season 5 still.
But yeah. From the pics, great casting choice. And since the ironborn are kinda like vikings, using a Dane isn’t a bad idea.
OMG, my two favourite things in the world: Game Of Thrones and Eurovision, all together, this is a dream come true.
Now I just need Sansa to be THE Queen Of Westeros and Spain winning (some year) eurovision and I’ll rest in peace
@zach: right… which is why it won 12 emmys.
i’m happy for him! tho i’m not sure if can remember all these new characters… there are so many!
Well, he does look a little like Theon, so I say it was a good cast! 😛
Game of thrones is a sh*t
