Highway from Montenegro have just completed the second rehearsal of their song “The Real Thing” at Eurovision 2016. They have upped their game with their staging, which gives a song with not a lot of popularity a huge amount of lift. At wiwibloggs we can almost unanimously agree that Highway’s style of music is not our favourite, but the show itself is entertaining nonetheless.
One highlight of the Montenegrin performance is the female dancer/backing vocalist does not look as psychotic as she did in the first rehearsal. A wind machine is placed directly in front her and her hair is going wild.
Otherwise, the entire performance is very similar to the one of the first rehearsal. A definitely grower, but perhaps not entirely a shower.

Nice staging, nice vocal, totally meh song. No finals for Montenegro.
The staging gives me a seizure but it’s 100% better than Cyprus’ cages. The vocals are surprisingly tight and the harmonies are amazing. Definitely going to kick some life into the show. I can’t get enough of it!
Montenegro’s rock >>> Cyprus’ “rock”
My mind cannot comprehend what is going on even after reviewing to it so many times now. Staging is not among the worst but still quite uninspiring.

Are you all allergic to rock? 🙂 OK – my condolences then….. 🙂 Kudos and respect to Montenegro this year. They bring out something ESC needs more of – rock music. And the song is very interesting and cool in my opinion. Nobody can tell how it will do in ESC. But it’s… Read more »

Even worse than expected.
Everyone involved in Montenegro’s Eurovision selection this year should be banned for the foreseeable future.
