On June 21 she’ll celebrate World Music Day with a special performance on top of Mount Srd, the highest point in Dubrovnik.
But ahead of that, Eurovision 2016 star and noted Croatian cellist Ana Rucner is busy is busy filming a scintillating new video for her single “Maximus” on board a 27 million euro yacht in Split. She kindly invited wiwibloggs along for the ride.
wiwiblogger Deban headed to Dubrovnik on Sunday to meet up with Ana and piano prodigy Oliver Poole.
Oliver, who has developed a cult following in the classical music world, will perform with Ana on the mountain and co-star with her in the music video. Coincidentally, he is also dear friends with the UK’s Eurovision 2015 singer Bianca Nicholas.
Deen & Dalal — who teamed up with Ana at Eurovision 2016 to represent Bosnia & Herzegovina — were eager to support their girl, so met up with us in Split. Check out their amazing Deen-branded wheels…
OMG! @anarucner welcomes us all to the set of her new #music video with #oliverpoole in #Croatia. Her friends from #bosniaandherzegovina @dalalmidhat and @deenvoice turn up in a personalised vehicle. The #eurovision results haven't deterred them. They're still #superstars in their region. #anarucner #deen #dalal #ljubavje #loveisallweneed #eurovision2016 #eurovisionsongcontest #inthedisco #cometogether #sharethemoment
As we caught up with D&D, Ana, perhaps the most famous cellist in the Balkan region, paused for a magazine shoot.
She’s making classical music sexy and we cannot resist her charms…
Meanwhile Deen and Dalal paused for some pics on board the stunning yacht.
While Ana vogued for photographers, the rest of us spent the day reading wiwibloggs.com and exchanging war stories from Eurovision.
As the sun set, Ana and Oliver filmed some very atmospheric scenes inside the yacht.
Ana wore a white button-up and little else, showing off her endlessly lithe legs as Oliver tickled the ivories.
Later, Ana put her cello between her gym-honed legs and plucked the strings as only she can.
The pair worked up a sweat as they dove into the music, blending beautifully as they performed beneath the glare of the lights and our cameras.
We’ve got much, much more footage from the video shoot which we will share in the weeks ahead, including interviews with Ana, Oliver, Deen and Dalal.
As for now, we’ve got to get back to Dubrovnik so we can scale his mountain ahead of tomorrow’s World Music Day performance. If you’ve got any questions for Ana or Oliver let us know!
