After electrifying shows in Amsterdam, Riga and London, the next stop on the Eurovision 2019 pre-party tour was Madrid, where Spain hosted the one and only #PrePartyES.

Twenty-two of this year’s competing acts took to the stage and worked up the crowd of excited Iberian chorizo. We asked you to vote for who you thought gave the best performance of the night.

And now, after counting 3,091 votes, we can reveal that Greece’s Katerine Duska came out on top. She earned 637 votes for her performance of “Better Love”, or 20.61% of all those cast. She may have had a shaky first performance in Amsterdam, but y’all obviously feel that she redeemed herself with this latest rendition of her Eurovision entry.

Katerine won this poll by a pretty clear margin. Coming in second place, with 200 votes less, was Spain’s Miki. He got the home crowd dancing along to “La Venda” and made sure that this wasn’t just a preview party, but a fiesta! Miki received a total of 431 votes (13.94%).

Rounding off the podium finishers are Icelandic anti-capitalist BDSM techno performance art group Hatari. Picking up 351 votes (11.36%) for “Hatrið mun sigra”, it’s clear that there are still plenty of people willing to support their quest to dismantle capitalism, and spread love in the process. Will they be able to bring the rest of Europe round to their cause in two weeks time?

Finishing in the top five are Albania’s Jonida Maliqi and Israel’s Kobi Marimi. Both artists have frequently impressed vocally at this year’s preview parties. They earned 290 (9.38%) and 234 (7.57%) votes respectively.

Only four other acts managed to earn over 100 votes in this poll. They were Poland’s Tulia, Norway’s KEiiNO, Croatia’s Roko and the UK’s Michael Rice.

Very good vocals and great staging is the perfect combo for top5. Poor vocals and bad staging lead from bottom 10 even to NQ

She was so good even though her in-ear was not working! I expect even better vocals from her in Tel-Aviv!! It has also been reported that she will wear a white dress and have a double sided tableau vivant on stage, created for her in Tel-Aviv from someone who has worked for Lady Gaga and X-Factor UK. She will have 5 more girls with her on stage (3 vocalists and 2 dancers-actresses) The staging in general will be very theatrical, with pink smoke, much like the videoclip but bolder and will allegedly be reminiscent to a rennaisance painting of Bosch… Read more »

I think she said in an interview that besides her good performance, she was still sick in Madrid. So I guess she will be even better vocally in Tel Aviv. Oh I’m really excited!
