Cue luxury, sass and extravaganza.

Eurovision veteran and stalwart Philipp Kirkorov has come out punching in the virtual world with his latest Russian-sung track, “Стеснение пропало (The Embarrassment is Gone)”.

Fresh from his recent work at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with Russia’s Sergey Lazarev, the 1995 Eurovision representative has charted those modern Sergey-sounds with a dance banger straight from 2119.

Philipp Kirkorov – “Стеснение пропало (The Embarrassment is Gone)”

The seven-minute film clip is an ode to technology and power, jumping between the present and future. According to the plot, four men from the future ambush Kirkorov and offer him to make a video using an Alexa-style artificial intelligence.

Taking on new career choices, Philipp explores new ground by taking on new roles as a ballet teacher, a gynaecologist, an old-man and a nudist. Yes, you get to see Philipp in all his pixelated glory.

The clip is also peppered with famous movie references, including big-budget features from King Kong, Alien and Star Wars. Giving fans the royal treatment with his glaringly opulent cinematography, no expense was spared, with the video clip estimated to cost more than 20 million rubles.

The Russian prince of pop is spreading his sound states-side, recently Instagramming himself blaring his new track by Miami Beach in Florida, while his children take in the coastal views.

Will you be blaring Philipp’s new song in your car? Would you like to see him return to Eurovision in 2020? Let us know in the comments below!

Russian Liberace

btw, have a little sense of humour, He’s not taking himself seriously, and he’s younger than Madame X . But a woman is a diva, a man is just old. Double standard.

Desperate in his ultimate desire to win Eurovision … Desperate in his music with no substance … Kirkorov, guuurl, you were 17th in 1995 … try to assess what that really means …

Every person has a right of self-expression, be it Verka Serduchka, Serhat or Philipp Kirkorov.

Sometimes I forget Philip Kirkorov is a real person and not Simon Farnaby on a costume.
And the fact that he behaves like Simon Farnaby’s characters on Yonderland does not help.

Just to make it clear: the video is entirely based on the lyrics, it illustrates them. For example, when «????????? ???????» (Embarassment is gone) is sung, a guy with the word «?????????» (embarrassment) on his shirt leaves, etc. So for those who don’t speak Russian the video may seem like a bunch of random things mixed in a crazy combination (it kinda really is, but for people speaking Russian the video is more or less understandable).

Being underatandable for Russian audiences does not mean the song is in any way shape or form a good one for a global audience …

Yeah I know, I didn’t say it was too good or whatever though. Actually, I don’t think that Kirkorov’s aim is to win hearts of fans all over the world, he’s quite happy with his fame all across Russia and some neighbouring countries.

Would I like to see him return to Eurovision in 2020? Hvala hell-to-the-ne! I don’t know, he just comes across as very arrogant and superior in his demeanor. And Lord knows, we don’t need yet another one of his rants after the contest about the points that he apparently deserved but didn’t end up getting.

Finally someone speaks the God damn truth … I feel Kirkorov would love to outshine Björkmann in the quest for the crown for the most desperate human being seeking a win at Eurovision for no other reason but pointless personal ego gains.
