I hope this year we can skip the shouty diva with an overly dramatic ballad. Just please.

Ines Neziri for me:). I really like it. Albania should not send uptempo when there are no great ones. Some other year.

Axhela lives in Greece or no? I have seen her commenting on the IG accounts of many Greek singers.

As far as I know, televoting won’t take place so it’s up to the narrow-minded jury from last year? I don’t get how difficult it is for the Albanian broadcaster to ask viewers to vote in an app free of charge.

She used to live in Greece for some time after her studies, was part of X Factor and also worked with Eleni Foureira for some time. Currently she lives in Tirana and like Eleni, has also been a victim of racism in Greece.

Rosela all the way.

Of course Anxhela is the winner. Over the past weeks we saw how the hopeless competitors tried in vain to create alternate realities, but it was all fruitless compared to the majestic power of KARMA!

Rosela lost by a few votes. So pleasantly surprised she’s getting the love she deserves.

Darn, really?
She’s a great artist, and I’m a big fan of hers but she’s come off as a little ‘arrogant’ when it comes to FiK, like she’s the only one who 100% deserves to win. That’s the vibe I have PERSONALLY gotten from her interviews.

Preparing myself for 1000 downvotes XD

The best is the results of the jury, which will confirm Anxhela’s win and Rosela’s loss.

Anxhela is perhaps the most famous person on this list, along with Era and Inis, so it makes sense to me they are doing well. Anxhela is the likely winner — I hope for a strong stage show. Albania already knows she can sing very well!

well Anxhela is most likely to win, but she’s also most likely to end up in the 13/14th position in the semi final – and she’s lucky she’s in the second semi leaving some chance of her qualifying as a 9th/10th spot. Really the staging she has in fik looks cheap and not fitting to the song at all, and the song is basically another version of “world” and we all know how that ended up. I really need Albania to start sending something that aren’t female ballads, I’m one of the people who says that we should judge the… Read more »

This is no attack on your opinion or anything, but can you please point me to some modern/contemporary rock artists/songs?
I ask this since you’ve referred more than once to ‘Identitet’and ‘Mall’as dated.
Again I promise I’m actually curious, cause I’m not much of a music expert. Thanks!

OK! In my opinion (I’m not a rock expert I do listen to some rock artists, but’s it’s not my go-to genre) modern rock artists are artists like Sam Fender, Maneskin (at Sanremo this year) and the 1975 for example and recently I’ve discovered great Estonian rock band – the Boondocks, not all of them are pure rock per se, but pop-rock, indie-rock, punk-rock for sure. 🙂

That’s a lot of votes for songs that aren’t really the favourites. Maybe the polls know something we don’t? 😉

Anxhela – Huge star in Albania, with a lot of fans and jury hype. Rosela – Another big star in Albania. Inis – ESC fan-favorite and a big rising star, third placed in 2018. Stefan – I know nothing of him, but he is apparently one of the rare ones with his own Wiki page in Albanian Wikipedia, so I assume he is well known. Mirud – Big ESC fan-favorite. Era Rusi – Another really big ESC fandom favorite. Klinti – He finished 6th in 2018 as a newcomer. Enxhi – One of the most modern songs in the contest… Read more »
