From the Faroe Islands with love, the uber-famous TikTok star is hoping to secure Denmark a ticket to the grand final after a two year non-qualification streak.

Denmark at Eurovision 2023: Reiley with “Breaking My Heart”
Reiley — born Rani Petersen — is a 25-year-old singer from Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, and the first Faroese performer to represent Denmark at Eurovision.
He rose to fame in 2021 when his song “Let It Ring” went viral on TikTok and stormed the charts in South Korea. As of April 2023, Reiley has amassed more than 10 million TikTok followers.
Reiley won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2023, earning the right to fly the Danish flag in Liverpool. He opens semi-final two on Thursday 11 May.
What do the “Breaking My Heart” lyrics mean?
Reiley co-wrote “Breaking My Heart” alongside Bård Mathias Bonsaksen, Hilda Stenmalm and Sivert Hjeltnes Hagtvet. The song is about the fear and trepidation of a rocky relationship.
Reiley told wiwibloggs: “It’s the sound of Reiley in 2023 […] I wrote it a while ago and it was very relatable to me at the time, because I’d just gone through some stuff.”

The only think I like is that he’s from Faroe Islands and I envy him for that. It’s so beautiful. This being said perhaps it’s not easy to live there :’)
When it comes to the song and the artist himself, I really don’t like it and I give him really few chances to get through semi final.

Yknow the title says ‘surviving a rocky relationship’ but the lyrics say ‘full on abusive.’ I don’t know why we have to shy away from pointing out lyrics about using somebodys fears against them to make them cry and wishing they were dead is a lot more than rocky.
