Saturday evening the second semi-final of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2024 will take place in NRK studios in Oslo, where six songs battle it out for three qualifying places to the grand final 3 February.
We asked you readers to vote, who you wanted to qualify. And now, the results are in.
Gåte and a big robot are favourites to qualify
It is almost neck to (wolf)neck with the numbers for the three qualifiers in this semi-final, but out on top comes Gåte and their Nordic anthem “Ulveham” (meaning “wolf skin”) with 536 votes, which equals 26.15% of the total number of votes.
Right in their wolf tails in second place comes a 3 metre tall robot called Super Rob and his best friend Erika Norwich with “My AI” who got 479 votes or 23.37% of the total votes. Third place goes to Norwegian-Australian MILEO and “You’re Mine” with 436 votes or 21.27% of the total votes.
If only the Norwegians had a saying the result is a little different. Gåte is still the favourite amongst the local fans, but in second place we find Dag Erik Oksvold og Anne Fagermo – “Judge Tenderly of Me” with Super Rob & Erika Norwich in third place.

Will the readers be right in predicting the qualifiers just like last week? Who is your favourite in this semi-final? Let us know in the comments below.
Judge Tenderly Of me…..the winner of the Euro FINAL 2024….brilliant song. No fireworks or dancing needed..genuine song beautiful lyrics perfectly sung….this is a true performance of art…not disguised by the staging…a song like this does nto need ot hide behind anything…we hope it wins.
I’m not fond of most of these (sorry).
I love Farida and I hope she sings well tonight.
Super Rob & Erika will probably win, and I admire how catchy that song is.
“Judge Tenderly of Me” sounds like a song by Allison Krauss & Union Station – it’s nice to hear that sound, but it’s somehow out of place at MGP.
“You’re Mine” – Hmm. I don’t get the hype about this one (sorry fans).
“Touch of Venus” – Probably not.
So, honestly I’d only vote for two qualifiers here. Ouch.
Ulveham and You’re Mine are great! I also hope there’s a chance for Judge Tenderly of Me to get to the final instead of My AI
I want Judge Tenderly Of Me in the final
Judge Tenderly of Me to advance here from this heat, or otherwise enjoy flopping at ESC Norway
I just don’t understand the hate for My AI among the community. There are certain songs this year in which are recieving an unfair amount of backlash from the community when I know the public will actually appreciate this.
As with the previous heat, I believe (and hope) the odds predictions will get it right this time as well. However, it’s worth noting that MILEO and NRK have been strongly criticised in Norwegian media from people who find the lyrics of “You’re Mine” inappropriate. I’m curious to see if this will affect the voting… Personally, I think the criticism is out of context and comes from a misinfomred point of view. To me it’s pretty obvious that MILEO’s entry is a theatrical act along the lines of genres like shock rock or psycho pop, and the creepy lyrics fits… Read more »
Thats why I decided to vote for Mileo. Those double-standarts and witch-hunting is just so stupid!
Right? Imagine when those same critics realize that Gåte’s song is about a young girl who is encouraged to drink her brother’s blood ?
I don’t like any of this “songs”… goodluck anyway
I like Heartache, You’re Mine & My AI. I’m not a huge fan of Ulveham. The instrumental is fire but the singing melody does absolutely nothing for me lol. Can’t wait for Heat 2!
My AI is more for the tiktoks lol
Gate is ethnic so obviously it is a fan favourite lmao, so predictable
This top3 should be the top3 in MGP’s grand final.
This semi final easily has the strongest lineup out of the three.
I think the oposite, but ok
