They’re the experimental pop duo who upset the favourites at home to win the Eurovision ticket to Kyiv. And today Lithuania’s Fusedmarc finally unleashed their “Rain of Revolution” inside the International Exhibition Centre.
The song portrays lead singer Victoria as a strong woman in total control of herself. But today she seemed to be a strong woman in total control of herself with major anger issues. Scowling at the camera as she barked “yeah, yeah, yeah,” she seemed to be leading both a revolution and a bloody coup d’état at the same time (there was a lot of red, y’all). That might explain why her hair looked so unkempt and in need of a good brush.
Turning up the amity factor won’t do much to save this, unfortunately. The lacklustre (or absent) melody left many members of the press room running to the bathroom during the final run-through so they wouldn’t miss the first take from Estonia.
It’s not all bad. Victoria has a big set of lungs and delivers this with conviction. Bonus: She has one of the best visuals of the year in her two rings of swirling fire (on the floor and on the wall). That effect really brings the heat.

I am so happy to see so many positive comments for Fusedmarc. 🙂 <3
Dear wiwi, seriously, how many lithuanians do you think there is? They are not exactly overtaking Europe 😀 this song is interesting and cool enough to win the place in final because it deserves it, not because of your mythical “diaspora” 🙂 Thank you!
Said no one ever.
Can you please stop saying “said no one ever” when somebody says something nice about fusedmarc? Your opinion is worthless because you are too basic to understand good music. Put your attitude in your butt. Sorry.
look. i love the band and i love her. this performance will SLAY. but the song could use a few less yeah’s. save them for the bridge or sth LOOOL
They basically won their NF through their staging and attitude, rather than their song. Not much is being changed and I think it gives them their best chance of qualifying.
They won because after 9 weeks the public was tired of the others + the jury pushed to vote for them (the ogre-looking Dalia lady said “vote for Fusedmarc” after Aiste performed, ignoring her totally).
No the audience was not tired. That’s such a lazy argument. This fit the population’s taste and was the best performance in the NF. Yes, there were other good or maybe better songs, but their performance was far from what should be expected in Eurovision.
Totally feeling the pain of revolution rn
You are the pain in the ass.
I don’t like the song and I expected them to have sth like the NF in Lithuania! Red it good, the background is also good! But the song is just not that good!
I don’t like this song specialy, in fact my score for them was a 3.5/10, but I really see Lithuania qualifying. Don’t know why, but I think the juries will vote for Fusedmarc, not to much but the needed to qualify or to place somewhere between 11th-14th. We will see, but Lithuania could be the surprise coming from an average 2ndSF.
She has a good live too!
Press points: 3 (last place). I think you need thicc glasses to “see” who’s qualifying better 🙂
I hope this qualify and pissed their haters. I`ll laugh so hard if that thing happened like Georgia last year
Aww, this is gonna be so good! Fingers crossed for them, want to see this performance in the final! 😉
That was so chaotic…. Who would like such a weird, screaming song? And why the Lithuanians chosen this to represent them? Too bad, it’s such a flop after last year’s great entry. I adored Donny Montell’s song, I was delighted he made it to the final and scored so well in the top 10… But this year Lithuania is on last place (43) for me…….
Me likey, and some of audiences too
Who would like this? Um, maybe people who happen to have different opinions? Like me! 😀 I love Fusedmarc. 😉 Expecially Viktoria, she is fabulous! <3
Press Poll is out!
1. Bulgaria 97
2. Croatia 50
3. (tie) Belarus and Estonia 43
5. Norway 30
6. San Marino 27
7. Israel 16
8. Switzerland 6
9. Lithuania 3
I am so happy to see Jacques so high. I wasn’t sure if the performance would convince people, but apparently it did. 2 years of consecutive qualification, maybe?
On the other hand, things don’t look so good for Switzerland (again!) Despite a good song and being supported by most Eurofans, their song seems to be lost in translation.
Croatia staging was surprisingly amazing, unexpected big grower for me! Bulgaria and Croatia – my winners of the day!
Switzerland were just that bad.
I don’t understand. Their NF performance really elevated the song. Why change it so much?
Cool! Now here’s the bugbear question. When is Fusedmarc EVER gonna film an actual music video for this song?!?!?
I meant *big* question.
When Sweden do, I guess!
I have to hand it to Fusedmarc for probably being the most ridiculed and disliked act of the whole season (including pretty much anyone who competed in the national finals) and still refusing to change a single bit about their song and performance. It’s kinda impressive.
It’s even worse – I think this is the worst Eurovision song since Spain’s “Baila el chiki chiki” in 2008! And yet Fusedmarc are still here, so yes I suppose they deserve some credit for stubborness.
Well, no need to fix it if it ain’t broken 😉
