Paula Seling and Elena Gheorghe—Romanian beauties and previous winners of Eurovision’s Next Top Model—each released new singles this week.
Paula released an unexpected collaboration with rapper Shift (real name: Gabriel Mihai Istrate), called “Arde” (Burning):
The song, which deals with the burning love that binds two opposite characters, bears a striking similarity with Paula Seling and Ovi’s Eurovision hit “Playing With Fire”. The R&B and Latino vibes, although new to Paula’s sound, suit her wonderfully, and the result is very radio-friendly. Pundits say that the length of the song is perfect for Eurovision, but in our opinion the rap part is not. Plus, she has a “Miracle” in the making with Ovi, with whom she plans to take Europe by storm once again!
Meanwhile, Elena Gheorghe, who represented Romania at Eurovision in 2009 with “The Balkan Girls”, heeded our advice and acted her real age in her new video “O Simpla Melodie” (A Simple Melody):
The single, which is supposedly tailored for the coming holidays, does not exactly sound like a Christmas song, but it’s a wonderful gift for her 1 million fans on Facebook. Elena’s flawless voice is highlighted beautifully and the video compliments the track. Gurl looks stunning indeed!
Which of the two Romanian divas would you rather like to see again on the Eurovision stage?

Paula’s Spanish is horrible
Love the tunes!!! Great how Paula experimented with something out of her usual style. I love when artists do that!! Sometimes it produces a nice result like this!
I might just jump on the onesie train if I can get a sparkly silver one.. if that’s what it even is lol
