Farid Hasanov from Azerbaijan has won the inaugural edition of Turkvizyon with his song “Yasa”. He had to beat songs from 23 competitors including the Altai Republic and Kazakhstan. He’ll be walking away with the title and 23,000 euros! Apparently the stage weights 150g!

I don’t see any need for this contest. Even the name of the contest is inspired by Eurovision. But the quality was poor. The contest was not well-organized. I haven’t watched the show. But I could see Farid only twice during his performance, I was watching cameras and heads of the audience instead.

@Charles, Leon, and Pixy, are you sure you are not the same person? 🙂 I hope you’re not experiencing Dissociative Identity disorder.

Nice song! Original melody, original rhythm, original voice. Dissimilar to others, a lot of magnetism.

This has actually a cool outcome: the hope that Azerbaijan leaves Eurovision and decides to focus on Turkeyvision for the rest of their existence. I’d be more than glad … cause listening to more Swedish produced songs from a country whose true musical heritage is nowhere close to that it complete bullshit. An who knows maybe Belarus and other countries whose musical input into Eurovision has been nothing else but complete crap will find its niche and self love in this Turkey-thing LOL

Lmao…so Turkey left Eurovision for this? Hopefully Azerbaijan will follow Turkey’s footsteps. Oh and the whole show was pure crap.

I like the idea of more and more international contests, it gives the chance to other countries to share their music and culture, the show had a lot of details… bad details but it is the first, so I hope that with the years, the show gets bigger and better organized

Nice, i mean the idea of this contest. Hope Azerbaijan along with Turkey will def. go for it leaving the ESC. As for the song- its total crap, just like the voice of this guy.

Even when Russia participates as 5 different acts they still can’t beat Azerbaijan diaspora?

A sparkling gem in this lackluster competition. Certainly the cutest singer out of all them! Congrats Azerbaijan! You just proved you’re awesome in two different contests.
