Sometimes a song does much better on the charts than in its national final. We all remember Adelén’s “Bombo”, which became a huge hit all around Europe and “Busy Doin’ Nothin'” by Ace Wilder, which has over 20 million streams on Spotify. But there’s something different with 2 Fabiola’s “She’s after my piano”. According the post on their official Facebook page, the song which didn’t even reach the final of Eurosong, has been certified gold in their home country Belgium.
The song, which has also been covered by one of its songwriters Ovi together with Paula Seling on his new album, is getting a sequel on September 1, when 2 Fabiola releases a new single, “One night in Dubai“. The success of “She’s After My Piano” has also ensured a record deal with Universal Music.
Do you think “She’s After My Piano” would have done better in Eurovision than Axel Hirsoux’s “Mother”? Leave your comment down below.

I think that they can qualify to the Grand Final, and made a Top 15 result. Their song was the best in Eurosong.
Correction: I mean Loredana’s live vocals weren’t great.
It wouldn’t have done too well in ESC, really. There wasn’t that much singing in that track, and Fabiola’s live vocals weren’t great. It may have done better than “Mother,” but it still wouldn’t have made the final.
It would have done far better in televoting. The song was funky, the performance was OTT, and they had the star power to go with the song. Juries would’ve killed it, though. Axel had a wonderful voice, but his song (along with Bellissimo) was godawful.
