Paula Seling, the gorgeous Romanian singer who finished third in Oslo together with Ovi, surprised her fans this week with her brand new album “One Mile Of Words”. You can listen to the eight-track digital record here.

The English-language album is delightfully fresh and the upbeat dance songs mark a departure from her poetic, jazzy style. It’s difficult to choose a favourite song, but “Meet Me Midnight” sounds like an instant radio hit to me. If only she had entered Eurovision again!

However, Paula announced on her Facebook page that she “will not leave her piano alone”. Indeed, she has been rehearsing extensively for her Valentine’s Day concert at Sala Radio in Bucharest. The singer will be accompanied by two radio orchestras and will perform, with a classical twist, the greatest hits of her career, including “Playing With Fire”, but also some new songs and international hits. We wonder if she’ll also perform “I’ll Show You”, the song she recorded with Alexander Rybak last year…

Because the concert is sold out, Paula Seling is planning another gig around Easter. Until then the Romanian beauty, voted Eurovision’s Next Top Model by wiwibloggs readers in 2010, will remain close to the Eurovision world, and you will soon see her hosting the Romanian Selectia Nationala semifinals and final together with Ovi, singer Andreea Banica and comedian Marius Rizea. The ensemble has been dubbed the “Romanian ABBA”.

Interesting duet.
I hope Romania will have this year a Eurovision performance as better as Paula and Ovi in 2010.
