Patrick: Wow! What a performance. Having so much energy and power but still sounding really good, even with all this dancing. It’s unbelievable – what an artist! She’s much better than in the first rehearsal. The only thing I don’t like is the background at the first part but I love it when the walls burst into thousands of pigeons. Well done Tanja – AMAZING!

Bogdan: This entry has been growing to me so much, it’s one of my favourites now, and that’s simply because everytime I see Tanja and her yummy partner on stage, I fall in love again and again. Unquestionably, of all the dancing singers at this Eurovision, Tanja takes the cake as the absolute best. The choreography is also the best I’ve seen so far (looking forward to seeing Spain’s, by the way). Let’s just hope that the viewers and juries will give credit to Tanja’s amazing abilities as both singer and dancer!

Cool story, bro.

Oh wow, that almost sounds scary haha! Not that I consider myself the most avid, die-hard fan out there, but he makes me look like just a casual follower who knows nothing 😛
I hope to attend a contest in the future as well! I need to start saving now…

@ Thiefo – Since we’re talking about personal issues, I’ll tell you what: He is a real, serious, kick-ass, die-hard eurofan. You simply would-not-believe how much he knows about it, like, you wouldn’t. I just came to ESC through him when I met him some 17 years ago (yes, that much… I know!! I can just imagine adriana_gabriela and Lolilly going “aaawww!” reading this, hehe). So, at home, he is the one who knows *all” about the ESC and I am the one who understands about music in general, though both of us follow the festival and read and write… Read more »

I recognize that it is enormously difficult to perform such an athletic dance whilst singing long sustained notes. That said, 1) it is a song contest and it actually distracts from as opposed to enhancing the song and 2) everything must be done with the audience in mind and nobody asked her to do this. I don’t find it enhances the performance at all. btw, can we go for some other shorts? Leave a little bit of mystery. Geez between Poland’s boobs and Estonia’s other regions we have an entire anatomy class going on here.

I like it a lot. Not the most original performance, but it’ll stand out since there’s nothing like it this year. She’s a great performer (let’s face it, dancing and singing like that at the same time is TOUGH) but I’m still not convinced of the background. Anyway, I hope she makes it through the final 🙂

Didn’t know you were married Marcelo 😛 the things you discover through these comments haha! And how envious I am of your husband! being in Copenhaguen right now! will he be attending the shows? And why aren’t you with him? you should!

@ Thiefo – Got it, bro. Sin problemas 😉 @ Robyn – My husband was there today (I just talked to him on Skype, as he is in Copenhague and I am here in São Paulo 🙁 ) and he told me that Tanja was NOT good live. As he used to me a singer and has sound formation, I will go with his appreciation. He did tell me as well that it was all the backing singers supporting the whole song. Pity. Not that I like it a lot, but I believed that she would do better (as e.g.… Read more »

Haha well my comment wasn’t aimed at you Marcelo, I was writing mine while you were posting yours, it was more aimed in a general direction because I’ve read so many comments before in other articles about the comparisions. There are similarities, yes, so I take back the mindless word, alright. Still I don’t hear much of Euphoria here, and as I mentioned, the coreography is also quite different, so I still wouldn’t dare to compare them directly. I guess I’m so tired of people constantly comparing songs, it is not wrong per se, but going as far as saying… Read more »

@ Thiefo – I don’t think the comparison is mindless (not that I’ve taken offence). It is too out there, can’t you see? If it wasn’t so, we would then feel there is a point to this song, and there is none.
We still agree on the singing/dancing. I wish Ruth Lorenzo could do half a head spin without sounding like a dying pig at that 😛

Well, another performance almost exactly like the one in the NF, just like sweden. Well, I guess that if it ain’t broke…

Tanja deserves more credit than she receives, singing AND dancing the way she does must be incredibly difficult, and her coreography is a LOT more complicated than Loreen’s (not that I think it’s a copy of Euphoria, because I don’t, but since so many people mindlessly compare them, I had to mention it)

First and foremost, kudos for her singing while dancing. It is extremely difficult to do that kind of moves and sing at the same time with little strain to the vocals. Special respects to whoever choreographed it, for they were smart enough to have her do the right moves at the right moments; very intelligent. That said, I still believe the whole thing makes little sense, sorry. What is this song at all, impressionist? I don’t get the point in the lyrics, let alone the whole presentation. It’s high time we left Euphoria alone, for the more it comes back… Read more »

This just comes of as cheap and unoriginal. The performance is a mix of Euphoria and Pink’s try. The song is just a bad version of Euphoria.

I can see where’re you’re coming from Timo. The dancing is brilliant, but we all know it’s easier to dance than to sing.
