San Marino better call the candy store: it’s missing a Peppermint.
It’s with a heavy heart that we report the news that Greta Doveri — one-fifth of the Italian-San-Marinese girl group the Peppermints — has left the band. Writing on her Facebook page, she explained that because of school and other committments she can no longer continue the musical collaboration.
“I want to take the occasion to thank all those who in the past year have contributed to the creation and the artistic growth of the band, especially the produers, families and my companions and friends Arianna, Sara, Anita and Raffaella with whom I shared the unique experience of JESC 2014. A big hug to all and Peppermints Fans!”
Greta, you’ll recall, stomped across the stage in a pink skirt. Like the sweeties in her singing sisterhood, she was always smiling and showed great enthusiasm during interviews and when performing. We will miss her voice and her positive energy. But we know she’s going to keep singing and keep shining — and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
Who cares about them?
Such a shame. 🙁
This is much like the South Korean group KARA – they used to have five (5) members, but several weeks after the release of “French Kiss”, Nicole Jung and Kang Jiyoung decided to leave the group. Therefore, KARA is now down to four (4) members. Those are Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Goo Ha-ra, and Heo Young-ji.
MalteseTimpana – I thought the same thing. Now they’ll all be 16 in time for this year. Honestly, it would be a shame if Greta couldn’t do ESC with the rest of the group this year just because she was born only a few days too late.
Hmmmmm i find it quite interesting that the 1 girl who wont be 16 by the time Eurovision comes along left………very suspicious indeed.
