Daniel Kajmakoski knows how to mix things up.
One minute he’s experimenting with drag as Tina Turner on Tvoje Lice Zvuci Poznato (the Serbian version of Your Face Sounds Familiar). The next he’s releasing his new single Samo za Ljubav.
The song, whose title translates as Only for Love in English, is a pop-rock number about his dreams for a reunion with a long lost love. Original, right?
Naturally the new song comes with an arty video full of red and blue filters, as well as a floating bed sheet. (Everybody just ignore the basketball hoop lurking in the corner)! At various points we see a weakened Daniel shirtless and writhing around on a hospital bed. Clearly love is full of torment. Even for the lucky ladies who rub his body throughout the video.
The song is a bit forgettable, but the melody is pleasant and the song suits his voice well. The guitars add life in the chorus and Daniel’s vocals are on point, as always.
The new offering will keep us happy until the next episode of TLZP, when he will be singing as Karolina Goceva. No, seriously.

His esc song was descent but with terrible stage performance, total mess, that only Macedonia can make. Seriously, there are countries (Albania is one of them, excluding this year’s entry) that can from bad song make good, in terms of some music fix and performance. Macedonia on other hand never improved they song and never had really good performance (Kaliopi excluded). This makes me sad since I like this country but Eurovision-vise, among 10 worst countries in almost every way.
@Charles – I agree with you. It’s silly with a video clip like that. But I think the song is *not* silly. Better than his ESC-entry.
@fikri: But a trend that makes no sense if you are a musician looking for credibility … unless of course you have no talent and you rely on your looks to survive I guess lol
