The final is looming on the horizon in Lithuania, with Saturday evenings last knockout episode of Eurovizijos atranka 2017. The remaining eight qualifiers returned to sing their entries, including 2014 and 2015 finalist Mia.

Only four acts could join Aiste Pilvelyte, Sasha Song, Greta Zazza and Ieva Zasimauskaite at next week’s semi-final on 4 March. Fusedmarc confirmed their place as tonight’s winner, and will be joined by Gabrielius Vagelis, Paula and Kotryna Juodzeviciute.

Ahead of tonight’s show, the Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of music unprofessionals — had plenty to say about Fusedmarc. Wiwiblogger Antranig said:

The first few notes of “Rain of Revolution” are interesting and the composition delivers throughout three minutes. The vocals aren’t bad but they feel completely out of place. It’s almost like she’s singing a different song that doesn’t mesh well with the music. Having said that, the final product is still interesting enough to consider. A lot of flaws but it’s not awful.

Show eight results

Same as last week, the international juries had their say on tonight’s 8 acts. Tonight’s panel consisted of William Wells from the United States, the UK’s Denis Ingoldsby and Sweden’s Sacha Jean-Baptiste. Their results count towards 50% of the overall jury votes, and were then combined with the other 50% from the Lithuanian juries.

Yaaaas!! Gabrielius is still in. He has a beautiful deep voice. The song is really emotional and it matches him perfectly. I’m glad the jury recognized the quality and I hope this could bring him to the final. I would send Gabrielius to Kiev without any doubt!

Overall, we have a good National Final here, Lithuania has some really good song which could qualify for the Eurovision final. I would have chosen the same qualifiers.
