She’s the ex-Serebro front woman who was supposedly in the mix to represent Russia at Eurovision 2017. Of course, that honour instead went to Julia Samoilova and we all know how that ended up. However, Elena Temnikova proves that life goes on, releasing not one, but two new singles and a music video in recent weeks.

The first, “Vdoh” (Breath), is an upbeat EDM track which explores the emotions one feels when love is so strong that you become addicted to another person (hey, hey Serhat).
“I don’t feel my breath, yet, / You’re adding the poison in my glass,” Elena sings to her lover, “Meanwhile, we’ve gone crazy this night / And I depend on you.”

Next came “Golyie” (Naked) a modern trap-influenced electronica song with chilled-out beats. It’s another ode to love. This time, two lovers share an intimate relationship, both physically and emotionally.
“I dive with my head / in your weirdness, tenderness / Our new love / is without prohibitions and jealousy”.

Most recently, Elena dropped the music video for “Ne obvinyay menya” (Don’t Blame Me), a single first released in December 2016.
More downbeat than her other efforts, we see a more contemplative side to Temnikova. When she’s not studying the city skyline, she’s seductively lounging about her plush pad… as you do.
