Olly Alexander fans already knew that his Eurovision track “Dizzy” is dropping on March 1. But we now know that the music video will get a play that evening during a one-off special hosted by Graham Norton.

The official BBC Eurovision account made the announcement on Wednesday evening, writing: “A date for your diaries. Graham Norton will chat to the UK’s Eurovision 2024 act Olly Alexander in a one-off special on Friday 1 March on BBC One at 10.40pm. There’ll also be a play of Olly’s video for his Eurovision song ‘Dizzy.'”

The BBC will air Het Grote Songfestivalfeest — the Big Eurovision Party concert, filmed last December in Amsterdam — immediately afterwards.

The announcement is the latest bit of news in what has been a busy period for the former Years & Years frontman. On Saturday Olly revealed the U.K. jury points in Finland’s Eurovision selection UMK.

“It was so fun, congratulations to everybody and Windows95man,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’ll see u in Malmö!”

That followed the February 7 release of his first tease of Dizzy. The lyrics go like this:

Time is frozen, all memories lost

So won’t you make me

Dizzy from your kisses

Will take my hand and spin me

’round and ’round ’til the moment never ends.

Mmmmm.

All well and good, but why isn’t he singing it live? That’s what they usually do on the Norton show. I’m starting to worry a little.

BREAKING NEWS! Israel sent 2 songs to the EBU, they asked Israel to check the songs that they are not too “political” for the competition. Eden Golan recorded both songs. One of the songs was written by Eden and the 2 creators of “Unicorn” and the other song was written by the producer who produced “Toy” (Eurovision 2018 winner). Israel is waiting for the EBU’s decision.

He did it on the Australian thread too. These serial Israeli spammers need to be stepped on at every oppurtunity.

I actually liked the song from snippet! Sounds good… but these lyrics on other hand… ugh.

It’s such a good song, albeit a 20-second snippet, but I have been going back to it repeatedly. Some call it dated or not a good entry, but, this is it for me. I have made my Top 6 as most of the entries this year aren’t doing anything for me right now, but this has piqued my interest. This could do really well, but it does depend on many things like how the full song flows and others, staging will also be a factor here. I have been hesitant to give the UK its dues because being a fan… Read more »
