Lithuania’s six-week-long Eurovizija.LT 2024 pre-selection has come to an end with a bang in Klaipėda’s Švyturio Arena.

A total of 40 acts have taken part in the selection, but one has risen above them all — Silvester Belt was voted as the winner with the song “Luktelk”.

Eurovizija.LT 2024 was the first Lithuanian national selection since 2020 to see its grand final take place in a bigger venue than LRT’s studio. Additionally, it’s the first time in recent years we are having a final from the Lithuanian seaport and their 5,000 person capacity Švyturio Arena.

Eurovizija.LT 2024: Grand final results

The result of the final was decided over two rounds. Firstly, a combination of televote and jury votes selected the best three acts to compete in the super-final. These were:

  • Silvester Belt – “Luktelk”
  • Shower – “Impossible”
  • The Roop – “Simple Joy”

The other acts finished as follows:

      4. VB Gang
      5. Monika Marija
      6. Aistè
      7. Žalvarinis
      8. Il Senso
      9. Pluie de Comètes
      10. Queens of Roses

For the super-final, it was completely down to the people at home, gaining full control of the end result. They decided in a landslide vote that Silvester Belt should take home the trophy.

  1. Silvester Belt – 16,688 votes
  2. Shower – 9,066 votes
  3. The Roop – 6,884 votes

Running order

  1. Aistè – “We Will Rule the World”
  2. Žalvarinis – “Gaudė vėjai” (The winds are blowing)
  3. Pluie de Comètes – “Be careful”
  4. Silvester Belt – “Luktelk” (Wait up)
  5. VB Gang – “Kaboom!!!”
  6. Il Senso – “Time”
  7. Shower – “Impossible”
  8. Monika Marija – “Starting tomorrow”
  9. Queens of Roses – “Walk Through Fire”
  10. The Roop – “Simple Joy”

Find lots more on our Instagram page, where we went behind the scenes and captured footage from Švyturio Arena.

Hey, did you know Silvester belt had actually attempted to represent Lithuania before for Junior Eurovision in 2010? The LRT YouTube channel just uploaded his junior NF entry

I’m not gonna make any friends here, but I don’t get the hype. Don’t get me wrong, its a fine song, perfectly decent… but why all the excitement? It doesn’t strike me as particularly different or unique. It just seems like a Melfest slick prettyboy entry to me. If Sweden sent this, it would not get much hype. But to be fair, I can’t think of a single entry I’ve liked where so much of the hype seems to be around how cute the artist is. Whether its Luke Black, Maneskin, Joker Out or whoever else, I’m always put off… Read more »

There is a huge hype. Some people like Gate for example, but there is no hype. There is hype with this and with Spain. I remember the hype about Je me casse, it was completely impossible to follow or read anything about ESC because of that and we know how it ended. Many will be surprised in May. Of course, like the song you like, but don’t negate the obvious.

And you can actually vote for it because the UK can vote in semi final 1. Since some people are comparing Silvester with Olly, I can imagine the UK jury giving their 12 points to Lithuania because they can’t vote for Olly.

I’m very happy, because there hasn’t been such a perfect song in Lithuanian for a long time, oh Lithuania will fight for a high place in the final (dark horse)

ps at the same time, what is important, we have the first person from the LGBT community in the colors of Lithuania, because Silvester is bisexual

Hello .
I really like this song from the first listen, and from what I watched, I think Sylvester has support from lithuanians [if possible, watch his second performance of the night, as the “superfinalists” performed once more, and see how was the public reaction].
It’s a very good song, it’s upbeat and in LITHUANIAN, and also even if we didn’t know who and where this song came from it has a characteristic lithuanian feel, which is, in my opinion, the most important thing.

To say the song will qualify because of the dance beats or “if it were not for the powerful dance beats and the staging, the song would be just OK” is, in my humble opinion, unfair. The instrumental of each song adds to each song. A song is not just a melody. The lyrics, the instrumental, the singer’s voice, all play a part in the final result.

Well done, Lietuva! This is a good song although I am still contemplating if I like the song or I looove it. I mean the song is catchy, the staging is elevating, not sure about the song itself and his vocals.

I feel this will qualify because of the dance beats but will end up between 10 and 15 the place (based on my gut feeling and how such songs usually rank in the end).

I wasn’t QUITE grabbed and captivated all the way, but as I was listening to it I WAS thinking “hmm, I think this guy is onto something”. I’m sure the more times that I listen to this, the more this will start to grow on me.

In Eurovision though, being a grower is not enough. Potential is there though! I think he just needs something else to elevate it a bit more.

I agree, if it were not for the powerful dance beats and the staging, the song would be just OK. It has something elevating but it’s also a bit dark.

It will qualify for sure with the televoting but I don’t expect it to reach very high there (it’s not super jury or televote friendly, to reach maximum points with either side of the vote). Still, it’s a good song and Lithuania continues to deliver at ESC!

The song has potential but I don’t quite like it the more Iisten to it. First listen in the semi was good impression, last night was underwhelming. The staging is definitely wrong, and he is not a strong performer nor charismatic. Compared to Roop who came with a song which is not quite for ESC (but a great radio/driving song), but they are born for the stage. For a song to be in the Top-10, it has to be Top 5 or 10 at least with either jure or televote. I feel this song will be below Top-10 with either side of the vote thus ending between 10 -15th place. Still it’s a good song, and the dance beats serve! Good luck Lietuva!

It’s a fine song, I don’t hate it and I agree with you I just don’t think it deserves the hype around it. There are too many things lacking for it to be a contender. If you listen to it and you want to rate it, the song starts with effecting visuals and build up until the first refrain. After that it goes completely flat until the dance break that kinda saves it. But the thing is, we saw these Swedish like visuals so many times before. It stood out in Lithuania because nobody else had it, but in Sweden,… Read more »

Also, Estonia’s song is a hot mess (I understand that people may like it but…) so it is hard for first-time viewers to connect. Lithuania is the big surprise of this 20s. “Discoteque” was the first level, in my opinion not so strong, but that 8th position was the beginning of a golden area. “Sentimentai” was in my top 5, lithuanian language sounds magical and the perfomance was goegeous. “Stay” and its “chuto tuto” was sooo magil in 2023 and deserved top 10 too. This year finally Lithuana can take a very very very deserved top 5.

Just listened to the song for the first time. It sounds really interesting. A song that mixes mainstream with dark, indie vibes in an original way.
I have my objections about the staging. This seems like a song that could use a way more mystical and alternative staging rather than the usual “Melfest singer with 4 dancers” staging . I don’t think they will change it though.
But then again maybe the toning down of the alternative vibes may help him. Being too avant-garde didn’t work for Luke Black last year (even if he was my winner).
