Luxembourg are working hard to make sure their return to Eurovision after 30 years is a successful one. This includes revamping TALI’s song “Fighter”.

The new version has now been unveiled alongside a full music video for the entry.

TALI – “Fighter” (Luxembourg Eurovision 2024)

Dardust, the producer of “Fighter”, has been busy making some subtle amendments to the song along with co-writers Manon Romiti, Ana Zimmer, and Silvio Lisbonne.

Notably, the second half of the chorus has been bulked out with extra beats to provide a greater feeling of dynamism.

Listeners will also notice the bridge has been slowed down and stripped back so that TALI is solely accompanied by a piano. The production then builds back in to give the transition into the final chorus more impact.

“Fighter” is one of two Eurovision 2024 songs that acclaimed Italian producer Dardust has involvement with — he also co-wrote Angelina Mango’s “La noia”.

TALI has the honour of closing the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024 on Tuesday 7 May. She and the Luxembourg team will be hoping this new revamp of “Fighter” helps them leave a lasting impression on voters.

What do you think of the revamp? Can TALI and this new version of “Fighter” take Luxembourg to the grand final upon the country’s return? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Belarus 2019 vibes. That’s not a good thing. A shame, it would have been nice to come back with something that blew the doors off.

Tali is a great performer and the revamp did polish her song!
I love that the song navigates through its English and French parts smoothly

A little bit better but I was expecting more from Luxembourg. No way they are qualifying. Hope they don’t get angry and try again next year. We can argue San marino deserves to qualify and would be robbed if not, but this one… there is no debate.

This is one of my handful of toilet breaks.
After 30 something years away from the competition, one would expect a powerhouse of a comeback. Instead they just delve in to the bin looking for a song that could have easily been rejected by France. Not much of a comeback at all. I hope they make a bigger splash next year because this year, for me, is not it.

The revamp wasn’t that big. I can’t imagine that if someone loves this song that the revamp would make them love it less. I also can’t imagine that it would really pursway anyone who didn’t care for it before to start caring. Luckily, I am in the first category! So… let’s go to the finals, Luxembourg!

The revamped version sounds better imo, more subdued and potentially more impactful on stage. The black sartorial choices of Tali and the dancers in the blurry blue-ish background of the music video have meaning to me personally. I like the new package. Me gusta *mucho* <3

Pretty mediocre song. Also, her voice was really weak during the national final. It’s a nq for me

This woman dedicated her song ‘Fighter’ to her brother who is right now in the Israeli Defense Forces abetting the gen0cide that Israel is committing on Palestians. She is canceled in my book.
Also, what a mediocre song.

Just saw it now. Had no idea. Anyway… here’s my take on it: I absolutely *loathe* mandatory military service, and I would bring it down to the professionals in every country. Not only that they are more willing to do what it takes, but also, I think that ”my body – my choice” should apply to all life-altering and dangerous situations, not only pregancies. So, with that out of the way, I feel like Tali’s brother is basically entrapped by the system, and has no saying in what happens. So, I don’t think that he’s the one to blame. Neither… Read more »

we don’t care about your opinion

it is sweet she dedicates it to her brother, and tbh military service in israel is mandatory so he has no own choice in this, its either go and fight or be imprisoned for refusing mandatory military service

Tali herself has more roots in Luxembourg, her father is peruvian jewish, basically having lived throughout south america for his work

not a mediocre song, the french verses are quite lovely and the english are quite cheesy, all in all a good fun entry

I love the seamlessness between French and English, and I love the stop in the middle of each chorus. She is also a great performer to the camera. So much better than most of the other 36 acts this year, from what I have seen so far.

It’s not my favourite, but I kinda like the song and hope to see it in the final. The mix between French and English is quite interesting imo and rn have it on the left-side of my particular scoreboard.

Small changes here and there, the backing track is a bit less messy, which is good. All in all it’s still a borderline qualifier at best, but I do think that going last in the semi is a big boost for Tali

I’m absolutely in love with “Fighter” and I think Tali is great. The whole song has got such a good, very alive energy. The French part sounds so beautiful. Capoeira inspired choreo elements would look amazing.
More love to the love around.

Reminds me of Moldova 2014- had a revamp that actually made it less impactful and less catchy, like the backing music became more restrained.

It is OK song and she can qualify not only because this is the last song, but also because the hosts will probably pump up Luxembourg’s return. Tali has to look comfortable on stage, otherwise she might come out as a wannabe. It could have been more smooth if the song was entirely in French.

It’s really still just pretty much *there*.
But I think there’s other entries in SF1 that have far greater potential voting obstacles to qualification so expect Luxembourg to make the cut and take up a cozy position in the bottom five in the final. Welcome back!

I didn’t need the revamp, but now I am glad it’s here! The chorus feels more modern and current, whereas the old version felt like something we were used to in 2000s.

They still need a strong performance to advance to final, and I am hoping Europe will stand behind our only returning country this year ?

I still like the verses in French, that give the song a classy touch, while the chorus in English remains underwhelming for me. I hope they will also change the costumes and the choreography from the national final, which didn’t elevate the song.

SF1 turned out not being the bloathbath as predicted, so I think Tali could qualify ending mid to end table in the Finals.

I had hoped for a more grandiose return of Luxemburg after 31 years of abscence.

All the best to them.

There are not really any significant differences between the old and the new versions; I could just identify a different build-up towards the middle of the song.

I feel this song is going to qualify. Although I don’t like the video a lot, her performance in the NF was good enough and can help her sail into the final.

Good luck Letzëbuerg!

I think the song now has a dark aura with the changes that were made, especially with the voice manipulation part. Even though it is in a prime position in the running order of the Semi final, there’s a chance this doesn’t qualify.

First time hearing this… I like it. Replacing the thin drum sound with some base/electrohorn would make it better… Appeal to both pop and club bop. Love the fast section/dance movements. Best of luck Tali.

As uf the song wasn’t impactful enough, ut now is practically souless. The instrumentation is now so static and uninspiring, while whatever is happening during the end of the first chorus absolutely cringes me. It’s a shame, it really had huge potential to come out even better than before. Now even Germany seems less generic.

(I know I’m being harsh and I do expect any downvotes but I can’t help but feel dissapointed).

I really thought with them being last in the running order, that the revamp would be so much more than this. It’s… barely any different to me.

honestly, I’m not sure I hear much difference between the original and revamp version of fighter, good luck Luxembourg. let’s hope going last will help their chances to qualify
