On January 14 NDR, the German national broadcaster, revealed Eurovision’s visual identity for 2011, and it’s meant to send Eurovision fans’ hearts aflutter. The futuristic light rays form a heart, building on the Eurovision logo that was introduced in 2004, and seems to play off the new Eurovision vignette that debuted at the Albanian national final in December.
This year’s slogan? “Feel Your Heart Beat.” Wiwi thinks this is a vast improvement over the 2010 slogan “Share the Moment,” which conjured up images of a group orgasm. (Depending on how you feel about Romanian pop stars, that could be a good thing.)
