On July 14 a pop princess met a real-life princess when Loreen performed at a concert in honor of Sweden’s crown princess Victoria. Victoria, Sweden’s heiress-apparent, wanted to celebrate her 35th birthday in style. So she dressed up as a milkmaid and invited the great and good of Swedish pop—Loreen, Danny Saucedo, and Agnes—to perform two songs each. Loreen went with her two numbers from Melodifestivalen, albeit with a twist. As you can see below, she performed “Euphoria” without a wind machine, and with live drums and live piano accompaniment. It all sounds much more tribal. And unlike in Baku, the audience could actually see her back-up singers!
