We wanted Sirusho, but we’re going to have to live with Gor Sujyan. Armenia’s state broadcaster officially named the 25-year-old as their act earlier today.
Gor is the lead singer of the band the Dorians and his father Mkrtich Sujyan is a noted jazz musician and guitarist in Armenia. Gor is also really popular back home: he was named “best male singer” at the 2010 Armenian National Music Awards.
You may recognize Gor as one of Angelina Jolie’s Eva Rivas‘s back-up singers from the 2010 contest in Oslo. Can you spot him? He’s the left-most of the three singers on the right.
