Belgium: Eurovision Drag Night (and Dinner) at Mask’Ara

The Eurovision Song Contest is drawing nearer, but some of us simply cannot wait for Malmo! Here’s a date for your diary, guys. On Friday 19 April 2013, head to Belgium where Ambiance Restaurant Mask’Ara is hosting a special Eurovision Song Contest show with over 24 Eurovision songs live on stage, performed by Belgium’s leading drag artists.

Afterwards the audience and a professional jury will give their votes, just as in the Eurovision Song Contest, with a winner emerging at the end of the evening. The professional jury includes several famous Belgian artists, including Iris who represented Belgium in Baku last year. Also, André Vermeulen, who has been providing live commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest live for the Belgian national broadcaster VRT will be on hand to serve up his humour.

This year is extra special. A Eurovision Achievement Award will be presented to a special artist on the night. Any guesses as to who this might be? During the acts the audience is not only treated to a fabulous show, but also to a three course dinner and an opportunity to dance all night to Eurovision classics.
