Not one for originality, Emmelie’s back at the Danish seaside in the video of her second single ‘Hunter & Prey’. Fortunately the dull, formulaic production on the song has been amped up and there’s now a pleasing secondary vocal, layered in with superb beats that add a bite and punch to the song that had been previously lacking. Emmelie does rather unfortunately spend a lot of the song standing in the Baltic, an unenviable fate at any time of year, but especially as we head toward winter.

But her trials aren’t all for nothing, as this is ethereal light-EDM at its best. Emmelie bounces gamely through the song. The cut-scenes with what I assume is Emmelie when she was a little girl are also beyond sweet and tell a pleasing song to go alongside the general scenes of Emmelie in her signature crouch and howling away at the heavens. Keep up the good work Em’.
