Earlier today 18 semi-finalists gathered in Zurich to be vetted by a panel of Swiss music professionals. After listening to all of the aspiring Eurovision contestants, the panel decided that the following six acts have what it takes to compete at Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow 2014, the Swiss national selection. The six finalists are:
3ForAll – Together Forever
Nino Colonna – La Luce Del Cuore
Yasmina Hunzinger – I Still Believe
Christian Tschanz – Au Paradis
Natacha & Stéphanie – Une Terre Sans Vous

Sebalter – Hunter Of Stars
Our readers will have decidedly mixed feelings about this. SRF, the German-language broadcaster, previously released the songs of nine finalists. We ran a little poll and Polish singer Gosia came first, followed by 3 For All and Alpha. Yasmina finished fourth in our poll, while Nino came eighth.
The Swiss national selection will take place on 1 February in the Bodensee Arena in Kreuzlingen. Who are you supporting? Let us know in the comments box below!

My favorites are these two:
3 For All – Can it get any cheesier than this? However, this is easily the most European-sounding of the bunch, and by far the catchiest.
Christian – Well sung, and a charming (sad) story.
Gosia was ok. I would’ve preferred her to advance over the ones I didn’t mention.
Sad that Gosia didn’t make the cut. Sadly, the song failed to have a bang, and the cropping might’ve hurt it.
Now it’s 3 for All against Sebalter (the italians did it right)

Well, don’t think Switzerland is going to the final next year…
They eliminated the one act that could get them to the final….well maybe Poland will return and Gosia can represent them.
