After featuring on Romanian rapper GLANCE’s song “Cinema”, Mandinga aimed much higher and scored a fab collaboration with Moroccan star Ahmed Chawki and with internationally acclaimed artist Pitbull. “Habibi I Love You” is a huge hit that has been making the rounds in clubs all over the world since April, but Mandinga wanted a piece of the action and pushed singer Elena Ionescu onto the stage between the two.
The featuring is meant to pump new blood into this catchy dance song with Oriental vibes. Given that Pitbull is half Cuban, like Mandinga, the combination is not exactly unexpected. (OK, it is.)
We know that the song was a hit before and that Elena Ionescu was copy/pasted into the video (obviously, she is not seen anywhere near the two main stars), but still it is a collaboration that Mandinga can proudly add to their growing resume. And I personally think it’s a plus that Elena is singing in Romanian. What’s another language when you have Spanish, Arab, and English in one song?
How does it sound to you?

“Oriental vibe”? I would say more Middle Eastern or Bollywood/Hindi.
It’s strange at the begining, but, It’s getting catch ! I liked it !!
Arabic pop, generic American crap and Romanian trash… I love it! Maybe someone should duet with Samira Said, that would be absolutely amazing!
I blinked and missed them myself.
I love it! I love it! I love it! Although that Ahmed guy is a bit annoying… The best thing about that video is El Nino and Chupi being on camera for ONE SECOND and doing the cheesiest smile and pointing to the camera 😀 It’s brilliant!
