Following controvesy and scandal, harsh words and loaded responses, the feud between Aram Mp3 and Conchita Wurst appears to be over.

Today at Eurovision in Concert the duo were photographed exchanging words and a big hug. As you can see in this series of photos, the two stars looked genuinely happy to put all of the drama behind them. So does the woman in the painting.

Conchita Wurst Aram Mp3

The battle is over and the friendship is on, but it’s been a long road to get there. As you’ll recall, Aram Mp3 was asked a series of awkward questions at a press conference in Yerevan, and his answers were interpreted as being extremely homophobic and transphobic. Then, in an interview with wiwibloggs.com, Conchita said that she’d like to have a word with Aram over coffee and cake.

But Aram Mp3 offered Miss Wurst a peace branch when he released the following apology this morning.

In my personal life and in my work, the respect for others is my guiding principle. Apart from being a musician, I’m also a comedian. Music and humor are inseparable parts of my life; I made some remarks recently in a humorous manner, which instead may have hurt the dear friends and fans. I really regret this and want to state clearly that I reject homophobia.

After their encounter, he tweeted the following:

We are thrilled to see Armenia and Austria coming together and promoting mutual respect over misunderstanding. Long live Aram Mp3! Long live Conchita! Now let’s all enjoy the music.

Not really. There is a video of this hug and as soon as Aram turns his back, his face turns into something close to nausea.

To say this about Armenia is nothing short of racism. My country is one of the furthest from Armenia in Eurovision qualifying, with only Iceland and Norway being further probably, yet I have no issues with Aram because different cultures = different comedy. I have many gay friends who are wondering what the big deal is, because this is a SONG contest. I hope commentators from all the countries don’t mention this whole feud during the events, so first time watchers don’t have to know about all this. All I will say is, wow, if the East really is this… Read more »

First of all, after all this I really hope Aram doesn’t win. I don’t know what kind of sick game this is but talking about tolerance and acting this way is not a civilized manner of rejecting him. An ex-soviet country, has a lot of good values and virtues and is trying to be more open-minded about homosexuality but u need to understand it’s not that easy. During the soviet era, ALL doors were closed to the West. But oh well, what point am I trying to make? No use !!! And I don’t care about ur votes, that’s not… Read more »

# Marcelo N # and people who tend to generalize armenians or anyone else… Don’t do that! Think how is would be to say that spanish are like this or homosexuals are like that. I am an armenian and can say that I hate when someone puts me in a box. No matter what box it is!
Aram has appologized and is friends with Conchita. Now let’s get over it and move on! 🙂

Now when Aram and Conchita have reconciled and become friends, let’s concentrate on music. Remeber it’s a yearly song contest for Europe to celebrate music and Unity. # Peace ? Love # from Armenia to everyone in Europe regardless your sexual orientation!

I can’t believe people booed Aram on his 30th birthday. How sad was that. He’s such a nice guy.

Well done Aram! It takes a lot of guts to admit mistakes and apologize for them. Thank you for making it clear to everyone that homophobic slurs are not acceptable, joke or not. I applaud you. Now hopefully we can all leave this behind and enjoy Eurovision for what it is: A great festival where everybody comes together to celebrate as one, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or social status. Good luck to Armenia from Austria!

Since I personally consider “Rise Like a Phoenix” to be this year’s runaway best song, I’d like to thank Mr. Aram Mp3 for creating even more publicity. When has Austria ever received this kind of attention? Not since Udo Jurgens.

@ Jak
You’re only feeling threatened because you’re feeling guilt and you know that. Otherwise why feel threatened? Let your votes and the public decide. Why use propaganda to try to persuade people that certain former soviet people are basically outcasts and worthless. Have you read yr own comment? You’re attacking millions of people. I can call you many names now but I would not lower myself since you will not understand with your primitive way of thinking.

@Jak, Aren’t you a nice person? categorizing and labeling all former Soviet people as one negative group of worthless individuals??? I wonder why you’re sooo offended by my comment? Is it fair for a person who never really said anything bad about gays be treated like this because people like you are jealous and full of hatred towards not only one, but many former Soviet nations? Shame on you! Yes, I will be there and we will give everyone the taste of their own medicine. Enough is enough. People like you cannot stand the fact that a small nation like… Read more »

“During his performance if anyone ever tries to boo again, I promise you that hundreds of Armenians, including my 34+ friends and I, won’t allow any of the participants sing a word on that stage during ESC” This is why I won’t be vote for Armenia from Spain. Guys, they are threating us everywhere, on youtube, twitter and even here! People were protesting his homophobic explanations – this was a right and how can you threat all these fans? Also if Armenia wins, I won’t be in 2015, sorry and their song will be the worst winning entry to me.… Read more »

This is for all haters…..
During his performance if anyone ever tries to boo again, I promise you that hundreds of Armenians, including my 34+ friends and I, won’t allow any of the participants sing a word on that stage during ESC, without booing our throats out during others’ performances. It’s a good thing that he’s going to perform first. So, whatever the audience does during Aram’s performance, we, all Armenians promise to do million times worse during the other performances.
So wake up Europe and get rid of the hatred from your hearts.

OMG! You all! Have you seen Aram’s interview in Amsterdam? It’s quiet funny. Hilarious! The journalist asks him about this whole Conchita and homophobia rumors and you should see how Aram answers it. I think you can only watch this interview from his Facebook page. So try it.

Eurovision is gettinv ugly this year with all this anger between Armenia’s fans and everybody else. It only makes me hope that Armenia won’t win so we don’t have all this drama for another year. At least two countries are coming together to come to an understanding, which is what the contest is supposed to be about.

Lets face it if you think that Aram is the only one who wants to win ,guess more CONCHITA DOES THE SAME BY DRAGGING THIS SUBJECT ,every time she/he gets the chance,So stop blaiming only only Aram ,i think the truth is somewhere in the middle. If you think Aram is attention seeker ,i can say the same think about Conchita…Im not surprised now why Paula& Ovi thinks its magical ,its miracle because Conchita is the cetral of attention and the more you talk about her the more you will see about her lol.

Controversy was between him and Conchita . What kind of society are we living in ??.Seriously …..Use some anti -depression medicine guys .

He said something wrong –>people were not satisfied.

He said he is sorry about that –> people are not satisfied again .

WHO THE HELL ARE WE to decide whether forgive him or not ?

It seems Conchita did ..So you do not necessarily need to forgive him .
Some people look like just broken up teenage girl.

This hatred was spreaded by people .Both Aram and Conchita did not know what’s going on .As I guess interview was done in Armenia and no one thought a joke will turn into a controversy .And WOOT it turned into a black PR. Which well, was both good and bad for them .But I see other contestants want something like this too .Like Sweden singer LOOOL , workout video ? seriously ? whatever .

I guess contestants from Poland are kinda disappointed too , they thought their provocative video will take attention but NOT .
