Jedward, who brought their energetic dance moves and HUGE hair to Eurovision 2011 and 2012, have revealed the video and artwork for their next single, Make Your Own Luck. Their musical evolution continues in this soul-inspired number, which melds R&B and pop. Thematically, the song is all about self-empowerment and taking control of your destiny: “You only have one life, but reach for the sky, you gotta make your own luck, spread your wings and fly.” Visually, the video shows the twins playing with puppies, taking selfies, and flashing skin in the pool. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton opens the video from his office, and gives his official stamp of approval at the end: “That was super fun. I love these boys!”
It may not be that obvious to casual fans, but as any diehard Jedhead can see, the twins have switched sides for the album artwork. Edward is posing on the left as John works it on the right.
Mark your calendars for January 30! That’s when the twins release Make Your Own Luck. The video, however, can be seen below.
They’ve always been entertaining but it’s just getting better & better as they mature- smarter, sexier, relevant, and their voices fuller and more beautiful. They write all their own songs now. This is so entertaining. Alumni to be proud of!
Hope you do buy it Dan! It’s a great song and worthy of a lot of AirPlay – John and Edward have been working hard to break out of the box so many people would put them in – they’re clearly very talented young men with a bright future ahead of them – all they need is for people to see beyond what they’ve been told and give them the same chance they deserve, and that they give others. I’d love to see them back at Eurovision – perhaps as writers of the winning entry!
Jedward are taking an interesting direction with their music and videos. They write their own songs, they make their own videos- it’s great to see them doing their own thing and unfolding their many talents.
Evolution sums it up nicely! Not at all what I’d have expected of Jedward, positively surprised. Hope these twins return to Eurovision and bring back ear & eyecandy
Its a really nice song, I’m very impressed that they wrote and produced it themselves. Very talented Young men.
I always liked them, very entertaining, I thought they brought a lot of excitement to Eurovision, I’ve missed them the last two years. I really like this song, it has a Justin Timberlake sound to it, very impressed, I might even buy it!
I love this! Wow! They’ve really come on, it’s a big step up! Well done to them!
Funny teen twins, ridicuous teen adults. Hopefuly they never come back to Eurovision.
